A lot of people are angry about 1D being on iCarly because they think itll lead to them having a 5 year old fan base..
1. A very small amount of 5 year olds watch and understand iCarly
2. I know many people in highshchool and above who watch the show (for example, my sister in college)
I think after iCarly 1D will definitely gain a lot of middle school fans (which might at times be a bit annoying), but who cares??
Stop complaining people! Who cares if their fan base gets bigger? Isn't that good for them? Who are you to try and control which people like and support 1D?
iCarly is typically aimed toward older teenagers anyway. they make soooo many adult jokes on there that younger kids would never understand
Plus, i know theyre going on tour with BTR, but singing their song on a super popular tv show that gets millions of viewers each episode and is on NATIONAL TELEVISION will really get "What Makes You Beautiful" out into the music market

I really hope they dont stay here. I think thy need a good management company. If their current one is from UK obviously they don't know how LA works. It's a lot more complex an every move you make counts. In my opinion they should NOT be doing this episode, but since its already out there and they're doing it... I think they should just do it and move on. Then try and get an older audience by being on radio stations such as 102.7 Kiis FM that's a popular LA radio station... Because once they hit Radio Disney which they have my sister plays it non-stop... It's just going to go downhill. They have an amazing amount of potential to be like a backstreet boys but they need need need to not be begging to go on these childlike shows, but have the childlike shows begging for them. And they should decline. They should be uneachable, like Bieber was. Then they'll have the world at their feet and everyone will like them. I don't know how to explain this, I just think they need to be really careful where they step.

What I'm saying is that they should avoid any of the kid networks ie. disney, nickelodeon. If they want to establish themselves as a real band with genuine talent then they should be focused 100% on the music and not do a silly acting gig where Harry is going to get sick and kiss miranda or whatever. They should do adult shows where they can perform and do interviews so that America can get introduced to who they are. Doing the "kiddy stuff" makes it seem like they are just another manufactured band with no talent. I just want them to be taken seriously.
