You can call men beautiful too. I use beautiful for men very rarely, I think Joe Jonas and Zac Efron are examples of beautiful men. Other men like let's say George Clooney are handsome, and other men are sexy.

I've called guys beautiful before, but when I have, I was referring to their personality. I was calling them a beautiful person meaning on the inside, not just because they have good looks.
I mean, people can call men beautiful based on looks, but I use it for personality, and only when it truly is a beautiful person. it's very rare that I use it.

it's not that it's not cool, it's just not common. I'm the only person I know that uses "beautiful" for men. it's generally taught that women are "beautiful" and men are "handsome," but I don't always listen to society's "rules." Do whatever you'd like!

the one guy I can remember calling beautiful, he blushed/smiled, looked down, couldn't look me in the eye, and was basically speechless. he later said it was the best compliment he had ever received, and it had come out of nowhere that he just couldn't take it at the time.
