DoSomething.org has been the premiere national award for community service, honoring the nation's best, young world-changers, 25 and under since 1996. And this year they're teaming up with VH1 for their biggest celebration yet of these globally-minded movers and shakers!
The 2012 Do Something Awards will presented at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica and will tape Sunday, August 19th and premiere Tuesday, August 21st, 2012 at 9/8c on VH1 where the winners will be announced.

Recently, Justin Bieber made a Christmas pledge of almost $10,000 to help sick children at Aukland's Starship Children's Hospital.

Selena harnessed the power of her Facebook fans to fight hunger and malnutrition in the Sahel region of West and Central Africa, urging her fans to donate money to provide therapeutic food and medicine for impoverished children in the region.
Taylor got invited to a high school prom by a fan of hers battling leukemia; his sister started a Facebook page campaigning to get Swift to attend. Swift couldn't attend, but invited him to be her date to an upcoming award show - her post landed more than 100,000 people.
