NICK IS THE BOSS! I hope all the rumors are true because he would be excellent. Miley would be good too. It would be crazy if they signed both of them. I'd love to see Justin Timberlake, Usher, Carrie Underwood or Gwen Stefani considered as judges.
I actually think if Nick got this he might do well. We might see another side of nick. He loves his music, he may really open up. I think it might also me good for their album. This is just my opinion, his name is probably just being thrown out there to see how the public reacts.
FYI, HTS was already in trouble of closing before Nick. You can't compete with some of the other shows. It did amazing when schools were closed for Spring Breaks & such, be it would have done great in the summer. He did have several sold out shows. Nick is not the hero of shows, he needs to quit being blamed for the show closing early. I think it was a great experience & opportunity for nick to learn from.
The Jonas boys are smart. Nick will sign with Idol, Joe is on The Next and Kevin has his own new show on E! (with Joe and Nick appearing in episodes). They will all hit the TV from Aug - Oct just in time to release their new music. I predict that we'll see a lot of our Jonas boys through the end of this year and in to 2013. They always seem to have a plan.

We saw How to Succeed in March on a Thursday night and is was a sold out show. The audience was not all teens either. In fact it was mostly adults and they loved the show, gave him a standing ovation. It really was a great performance. The guy is a musical genius and he has worked with so many artists. I think he surprises everyone he works with, they all comment on his maturity. I think he'll be a great judge. He's a great speaker and comfortable in front of the camera.

It wasn't a failure. He filled on average about 85-90% of the seats and it was the 5th top selling show on Broadway. He did sell out several shows. The attendence didn't drop off until May and several of the Broadway shows felt the same pinch. In fact, three closed before Nick's show did and two more just a few weeks after his. The producers were funneling most of their promo at Evita and Once because How to Succeed was due to close in July anyway. That was decided before Nick ever started his run.
Nick doesn't have to be "exciting" on the show. I watched "The Voice" Australia and I see Nick as more like Keith Urban. Serious about music (he was like a musical dictionary) and helpful yet kind with his criticisms. As long as he's not like Delta, (she worried more about her hair, make up & outfit than what she was there to do) he'll be fine.

I think these three judges will be perfect. If Mariah did not want Nick on the show she would of told them not to. I think they need a younger judge for the younger people doing the show. There is truth to the fact that The Jonas Brothers had no radio play and that when they were making music their voices (Nick's especially) hadn't matured yet. It's true their music was teen-pop and was only popular with girls who were in love w/them. But this is their chance to stay in the public eye and maybe get adults to listen to their new stuff.

I say that he should go for it. The only problem I would have is that we might not get any new music...BUT filming is not all year round. It might only be a couple of months. Besides, maybe their album is already finished or they could just be putting on the final touches.
However, another thing I have a problem with is the fact that AI is becoming less and less appealing. I stopped watching it seasons ago. Now that all these new singing-competition shows are out, people aren't really interested in American Idol anymore. But who knows? Maybe things will turn around.
I'm kind of in the middle when it comes to talking about this situation. I think Nick should go for it, but I don't want all the negativity and drama to fall down on him should it turn out to be a bad idea. Nick is beyond talented and doesn't deserve the hate and negativity he receives. I guess I'll say that he should go for it.

There's a difference between Jonas Brothers music and the music you hear on the radio now: the level of decency. Come to think of it, the only good songs (that have meaning behind them) that are played on the radio, now-a-days, are the songs by Adele. Most of the stuff you hear is popular music (hence the name "pop music") and is played because it's popular amongst society; just because something is popular, doesn't mean it's good music. Not everyone has a good taste in music.

I don't understand why there are still even radios around, when all you have to do is plug your iPod/iPhone or etc. into your car and listen to the songs on there. Or you can listen to Pandora Radio. TBH...I don't even listen to the radio (well, I do, but only to fall asleep because I hate how quiet my room is) because of all the trash that's on it. I hate hearing Call Me Maybe, What Makes You Beautiful, Boyfriend, and all the talentless crap that's on. Honestly, now-a-days, a side from being a truly talented musician (Adele and etc.) I wouldn't consider my song being on the radio as an accomplishment. They're beginning to play any and everything on the radio now.
