Agreed, but that's what she wants, and (at least on OU) it's working. I hope it doesn't work in the U.K., where she's really depending on her involvement with Zayn and connection to One Direction to help her out.

Even there. The only reason they won X Factor is because they had One Direction supporting them, and the guys were posting on twitter, telling people to vote for them. They had a lot of luck and support with that.
I've heard some part of their single. I don't like it. They aren't for me. I don't hate them, though. They aren't worth any sort of an emotional investment so...yeah.
