You're kidding right? I'm not even a huge fan and Ed is far better vocally. And talent is not all about looks either. I would choose Ed over Taylor any day and I consider myself neutral on both of them for the both part.

Critics' opinions don't mean much to me. Some of the best movies I've ever seen barely get a C by critics' standards. At the end, it's just their opinions that they are getting paid for. Everyone has opinions, just to me personally I think he is more talented. She is just more marketable.
But critics opinion is usually more credible, because they have done it all their life.
I can probably cook a a good meal, but a professional chef of some fancy diner is gonna do it far better than me.

As for the cooking thing, I'd take my grandma's cooking over a professional chef's cooking every day.

I haven't heard Ed live yet, but for the most part, I can see that I'd agree: Ed is far better vocally. I love both their songwriting styles though, and a collaboration with those two is a songerwriter's dream come true in my eyes. I think they're both extremely talented in that area, and I can't wait to hear what they've come up with.
