First of all, sorry to burst your bubble, but I still don't believe Jelena is an act of publicity. THEY ARE NOT FAKING. They're clearly in love. If you seriously took the time to write all of that along with do all of that research I sincerely sympathize you. Get a life pal.
Second, Selena did always think he was cute and little. She's always had a crush on him hence the reason why she started dating him.
