A person getting older, experiencing more, and changing their mind, does not make them a hypocrite. It makes them HUMAN.

Her father is a paparazzo and let her drop out of school to "go to work" with him. She has all the connections and techniques any paparazzo does, she just wants a taste of the stardom herself, so she uses the pictures for different reasons.

I do think Miley is smoking to loses wait. TBH, she's been smoking more since she defended Demi on Twitter from some idiot that called her FAT. i feel bad for Miley, she used to be the type of person that didn't all under peer pressure to be 'cool'. now, she breaks under it so easily. This. I had an ex who was self-proclaimed "straightedge" all freshman year. Two months into sophomore year, he had smoked pot. His new habit led to our inevitable break-up and new habit: smoking. People's minds change, and quicker than anything.

As for the voice thing, as surprising as it is, many Broadway actors smoke. That shocks me more than Miley, who doesn't sing on a regular basis like that. Not that I condone this or would smoke if I were in her position, just saying; my surprise is elsewhere.

As for my opinion on smoking I don't mind other people smoking at the end of the day they know the risks and it's their choice. I have many friends who smoke regular or socially at parties, personally I've tried it but don't see the hype around it and how people get addicted.

She wasn't so bent out of shape with it when she started with Disney because she was too young to realize the amount of power she really had, and no one could have predicted it before she signed. Now that she is older, no longer even signed with Disney, she shouldn't have to carry that "responsibility" now that she's left (a responsibility which isn't even hers; parents brought their kids into the world, not Miley, so parents should raise them, not Miley). Kids will screw up and make mistakes whether Miley does or not; I know I have, and I'm a fan of hers. Being her fan doesn't automatically mean I don't have a mind of my own and a will of my own. Anyone who does something simply because their "role model" does is just weak. And if someone must have a role model, it should be a parent or someone they actually know, not someone they obsess over when they don't even know the person. Knowing someone's character or lyrics is not truly knowing the person.

My point was not really anything to do with Miley today. A Disney contract comes with guidelines for a reason. The target audience is kids. Miley made a hundred million dollars from those kids. Miley and her team started her on a path of bad girl way too early, while those kids were still impressionable. Her job wa to be good and she or her team decided she didn't have to be, while still reaping monetary benefits from her good girl persona.

For those commenting on the virtues of smoking, please realize that lung cancer takes 10 years to metastisize into a spot no bigger than a dime on your lungs. By then it's too late. Also, the body when young will react and capsulate cancer cells, not destroy them, to prevent them from harming the bod. Not till you get older, when the immune system weakens, do these cancer cells breakout and get released. Anyone who glorifies smoking should volunteer in a lung cancer ward and see the dying in their last days gasping for air, which can last for several months to many years. Anyone thinking she doesn't need to be a role model to the public, I think she needs to be a role model to her little brother and sister. Besides, Liam's weenie must be pretty small, if she needs to suck on a cigarrete to stuff her mouth. Just sayang.
