No Demi was not with WV in NYC he was with another girl just like she was with Logan, well at the premiere of his movie anyway. Demi had a lot of press in NYC so she probably didn't socialize much and she was sick with bronchitis so that kind of left her hotel bound unless she had too do something.

Well I've seen calm golden retrievers and I've seen excitable golden retrievers. Dogs have personalities too, and trained well, can take on after their owner. Nick may throw a ball for Elvis to fetch, but Nick doesn't seem the type to rough-house with his dog, which can be the cause for an excitable dog. No rough-play can encourage a calmer dog, so that may be why.
