I would honestly take people being in love with themselves over all the low self-esteem crap I see all too often. That's people lying to themselves about themselves, whereas loving yourself is being honest.

Not always. Some people with low self-esteem really do see themselves in such a bad light, and it really is so sad. It's just really sad, and I can't stress that enough. On the other hand, some people are in love with themselves when they really need a reality check on some negative things they may do (ie. Regina George; Rick Santorum). However, I do agree, I'd rather see people in love with themselves than on a downward spiral.

Those shoes are ridiculous. Don't really like her, she looks too much in love with her own self.
Those shoes annoy me. It's like looking at a fat person and seeing the skinny person they were a year ago and just mentally drawing them skinny.
