Why does he want to be a mormon?
David is just putting his career on hold for 2 years. I love David's voice and he's a really kind and humble person. He worked really hard the last 10 weeks to make stuff to leave for fans - he was filmed in the 5-week Philippines miniseries Nandito Ako as leading man (subtitled DVDs are in the works), a classic Philippines album Forevermore (shipping now and music video real soon), and a US album of classic or inspirational songs that he finished up the day before he left. Plus some new photoshoots. He did all of that and more in 10 weeks. Gonna miss him. BTW his twitter is DavidArchie and his manager Kari will post any messages from David there. #DA2014 I'll Be Here
Two years is not that long. It's the typical life span of a boyband. So I guess Archie will miss the rise and fall of One Direction. I think he's so talented and that everyone should be listening to his stuff, especially his recent stuff, but nobody around here seems to listen to me. If you want to do yourself a favor, pick up his new CD Forevermore from Amazon or WowHD.us. It just came out. You will not want to listen to the boyband crap after you've heard David sing the love songs on Forevermore. They are jaw droppingly beautiful.

you know, many people think he is gay because of how sweet and gentle he is, but i think that's ridiculous. boys who were raised in religious Christian homes tend to appear softer and more humane. somehow, people(idiots, i should say) mistake that for homosexuality

I'm going to miss David so much. I've never had a singer I really like just leave for two years. It's so weird. I've been listening to his music non-stop since yesterday but it just makes me think of him even more. I can't even listen to his new CD. Gonna try listening to Lines, Vines and Trying Times because that usually cheers me up but that just reminds me that JoBros are also gone LOL.
Cause he was born and raised a Mormon & its not a bad thing to be Mormon

Who exactly do you include in your typical "boyband" life span theory? Take a look at the years on N'Sync, Backstreet Boys, and NKOTB. I wouldnt say 2 years is the potential duration of any boyband with as much success as 1D. The famous ones usually last a few years.

they're from early 21st century when most of teenage girl were not as crazy as now. try to look at both JB. I'd say 3years or 4years max for 1D before those teenie little girl getting bored
