iCarly CANCELED!
Nickelodeon's hit series iCarly has been canceled after five seasons, reports TV Guide. In June, the cast will come together for the last time to film a special iCarly television event that will air in November. Nick president: 'iCarly has been a definitional show for Nick with kid empowerment at its core and irreverent, smart humor that families around the world enjoy. With its classic sitcom format and beloved characters, iCarly will always have a home on Nickelodeon.'
Many of the cast members will stay in the Nickelodeon family. The network has green-lit a new live-action series from Schneider starring McCurdy and a new pilot starring Munck as part of an overall talent deal with the 16-year-old. The network has also green-lit a pilot from producers Jay Kogen and Aaron Kaplan called Wendell & Vinnie, which stars Trainor as a goofball uncle who becomes the guardian to his conservative 12-year-old genius nephew. As for Cosgrove, she plans to attend USC in the fall.

too bad, it was actually a pretty funny show and good for kids. but i can't say i'm too surprised with miranda going off to college.
The show had to end some time. I'm glad they get to stay part of the family of Nick.
Cancelled, I am truly surprised. I've seen many shows with the negativity that was going on with iCarly but wow. There is probably something going on I don't understand because I'm not in showbiz.
That was a good show.

lol I was thinking the same thing. There goes Nickelodeon's last decent show; even "Spongebob" isn't that great anymore =/
Good for Jennette, with her new show, but I don't think it'll be successful, as she'll only be known on Nickelodeon now as Carly's detention-loving sidekick. I wish her luck though, and luck to Miranda at USC. Wish I was going there
Nickelodeon and Disney are slowly going down the drains with the shows they have. Use to be That's so raven, Spongebob (when it was funny), All that, Amanda Show..etc and now the shows on both channels are not funny anymore or either waaaayyy over acted with dumb story lines.

Debby Ryan even did it when she left Suite life and was no longer playing Bailey.I now see her as Jessie even though I wasnt sure if id believe her but i did.Its very possible that the show will be the next I Carly or Victorious because Dan Schneider only picks girls he believes in from previous shows to make better ones(he also made Drake and Josh and Zoey 1010 and then mad shows for the costar Miranda.and Victoria)im glad he choose Jennette!

It's different with Miranda and Debby, who came from shows starring males; there was no competition. Victoria, coming from "Zoey 101", is struggling to compete against being Jamie Lynn's quirky/clever roommate. There was some time in between "Zoey 101" and "Victorious" though, so that actually helped Victoria, as people had time to forget about her, and then she suddenly comes back and people go "oh, I knew her from Jamie Lynn's show; what's she doing?" and they watch; they had time to miss her.
If Nickelodeon waits a bit, just the right amount of time again, Jennette may be fine. But if they do it too quickly, people will just roll their eyes and get annoyed.

Why couldn't Victorious get cancelled? I hate that show and it gets worse ratings then iCarly does. Thankfully my fave iCarly cast members are getting their own shows. I'm sure its cause iCarly has been on for so long and its probably time for it to end and the cast wants to move to other projects or new things after doing the show for so long.
The truth is Victorious is doing very well in viewers, never garnering less than 3 million viewers in a single episode. I know iCarly was once the most viewed show on cable TV, but I believe Nickelodeon wants Victorious to fill that spot now. And considering Victorious won the *KIDS Choice award for Best Show, they're probably not stopping any time soon. Its a very cheesy show, but the kids love cheese. They eat that shit up!

yeah it can be corny but pretty much all kids shows are always corny. I don't always watch those kinds of shows of course just occasionally..
Sad that iCarly is almost over but understand that at some point they have to end this show, because they've been filming this show for like over 5 years now! o_o. time flies fast, now they're like all grown up. And i guess they just wanna get some personal and other business taking care of. so i understand, but gosh, loved that show so much.

bet this is more about miranda going to USC than about bad numbers of viewers. and all of them are somehow growing out of their roles.

when i first saw icarly i thought this could never work because i was like "they gave drakes little sister(i know not a real one) an own show? without drake but someone looking like him? weeeird" but i started liking it^^

I love how you indiscreetly edited my Teen Choice Award mistake. Thank you, haha! I enjoy watching Victorious sometimes, too. I dont know though, I just dont think its as good as it could have been. It doesnt get enough laughs out of me, but I guess thats personal. I feel that the best child shows connect with adults as well as children, and Victorious just doesnt connect with me. (I'm 17, borderline adult) (;

wow, it doesn't even feel like icarly has been around that long. And it seems like everyone keeps comparing it with Victorious. [I like Victorious better because of the music.] But anyways. Wow. I feel like I have just watched Miranda grow on Nick Cam. I mean gees, just yesterday she was the pesty little sister named Megan Parker! Now, she's done 5 years of her own show and is going off to COLLEGE. Wow, just wow. I wish Miranda well in college and hope she stays grounded and true to who she is and doesn't end up making a bad name for herself like the Twins did when Suite Life was done. If there's ANYTHING that irks me more is watching a smart and level-headed person get caught up in the wrong crowd and start giving into peer pressure. I hope we can have at least ONE child star who can sty on the right path and actually remain a good role model for their young fans. So far, Raven,Selena,and Hilary have been lucky ;}

Odd I thought they had been planning to stop after the 5th season anyway. So it wasn't cancelled it's just wrapping up...

Honestly,Yes ICarly was like the BEST show ever but they have to cancel it sometime soon and I've noticed that people have been comparing it to Victorious and i dont think they would cancel Victorious because it does get a lot of viewers and is doing great. Although I am crushed that ICarly is canceled but they are growing up and have been doing this show for 4 or 5 years now. It might now be boring to watch but as I said they are growing up and they want to start a new chapter in their life.

Not a fan of Victorious? The shows pretty funny .... when Cat doesn't ruin it. Might want to catch an episode before that gets cancelled.
It was a great show in the beginning, but then became desperate in 2012. I am sad it is cancelled though...
I knew it would happen sooner or later as they got older...
Why will they end it??!?! Even though Jennette and Noah will stay on Nickelodeon it will not be the same as Jennette, Noah, Nathan, Jerry and Miranda all on Nick!

I so don't think iCarly is ending because the cast grew older or anything. I really think it's ending just because Miranda is going to college. And also because of Victorious kinda, people are liking Victorious instead if iCarly. With all my respect to Dan Schneider, I think Victorious is lame, I'm not a big fan, it's my own opinion.

Miranda was guest on Jimmy Fallon last night and said it herself. She just turned 19. Said she was gonna go to USC and also Tour as the musician she is.
