Eh. It doesn't look like a good prequel; as its own show, I guess it's okay. Maybe not something I would watch if I didn't know its history (or future?), but even so, it's not looking like it's living up to the "Sex and the City" name. In fact, the only similarity I saw was the music. The raunchy jokes look to be the same, but I don't think that a sixteen-year-old girl would be as clever and witty with the punch lines like a forty-year-old very sexually active woman would.
*shrugs* I guess I'll wait until the first episode to see.

I'll check it out cuz I love sex and the city but I honestly just don't know about this show. It looks...silly.

Definitely not. Plus, Carrie's not even my favorite. I know the show centers her, but I like Carrie and Samatha's friendship as a focal point the most (their conversations are hilarious, and Sam has some of the best lines/jokes with her), and of course, the friendship and connection of all four women. I'm such a Charlotte though; I relate to her the most

Samantha's hilarious. Sometimes I can channel her (in terms of being ballsy and in charge), but she usually comes along with Charlotte's timidness, like when Charlotte was trying to have a "just sex" relationship with Harry and she was like, "put your pants on and go! ...is that alright?" lol

looks kind of tamed. and the feeling isn't there. also, annasophia's acting is a little bland. not confident, yet not insecure enough. i'll check it out, but at this point, i'm not liking what i am seeing

I agree. This is one of mine and my mom's favorite shows. My mom read The Carie Diaries but said it was just not the same feel. This show just doens't look on the same terms as Sex and the City, I know they're younger, but I don't know. Like everyone else, I'll watch the first episode just to see where it goes.
