According to E! Under Pressure: While you may think that the Jonas Brothers feel pressure from their critics, it turns out they are the ones who are being hardest on themselves. Kevin especially, who can't shake the feeling that this will be a make or break moment in his career:

Of course Kevin can sing! He used to sing in the early Jonas days. I love the tone of his voice.
but listen to him singing, Kevin doesn't soung good and he knows it, it's not a bad thing, he is not a singer, if he could sing he would have you know, that's why he is just a back up singer for Jonas, now they wanna make him sing to create more drama for the reality show, and it's good PR but at the end of the day, he won't end up singing too much, because you know they can mix his voice at studio but he won't be able do it well at live shows, that's an objective view, not one of a 13 year old trying to support the three guys equally just bc they think they have to but they deny the obvious truth, the guy can't sing and that's a fact. He is an awesome guitar player though, so why doesn't he stick to his guitar'

I think his voice is fantastic. The only reason he stopped singing was because he didn't want to sing anymore, not because he doesn't have the talent.
Kevin said this was the first song the did. From what Nick said they took a break from the studio around that time because they had a writers block/musicians block and that's when I think they started getting influenced by Adele, Gotye type music.
I just don't like the tone of Nick's voice.
The three brothers have differents tones, Nicks is High, Joe's is medium and Kevin is the deepest.
This is not lead single material. Nick's voice just does not sound so great on this snippet. MAybe it gets better when you hear entire sone.
I don't think it's a single, it was just in last nights episode of MTJ, they were showing the guys in the studio and this was the song they were working on!
I prefer Nicks 2010 voice.

I think Nick's voice is perfect!! his singing is the best, and comparing this snippet to the one he played at a livechat I like this one better!! I would say this song is perfect for a single, I'm sure that it would be a hit, I'm hoping Nick picks it.

He is producer of the album, he wasn't rude at all, he was just helping Kevin to sing better, that's his job as a producer/director, he has to make sure everything's ok, what do you want, Nick leaving Kevin sing like crap and give as a bad quality album that would flop?? Seriously, what is your problem?! Are all of you hard of hearing? Because from what I can hear, Kevin is a great singer. He has a different voice, but it's not a bad one. Just unique, and there is nothing wrong with that. Having a unique voice is actually a compliment in the music biz.
I agree that it needs more Kevin and Joe because all I'm hearing is Nick.

First of all, in my opinion, what they need to do is release the best song with the very first music video! They have to choose wisely. Not only the song, but what the music video is gonna be about.
And also, don't just make one or two.
They need to stay in the media attention, they need to make news about releasing MORE, like at least 3 or 4!!

go to twitter and see how happy people are with Nick singing, he is like everyone's favorite so it's a good idea that he sings the most in previews but at the end you will see it's not gonna be just him singing, that's just for publicity since he has the better voice and the most fans. The album is gonna be great, you'll see, and the three brothers love each others.

wtf? what an ODD sound they've gravitated toward. their LVATT sound was perfect for their voices. this just sounds too cutesy, synthy, and overproduced.
