The Secret Life of the American Teenager has been canceled, reports TV Guide Its current fifth season will be its last, with the final 12 episodes airing in March 2013. tuning in for the Aug. 13 episode, while 1.54 tuned in for the midseason finale on Aug. 27. ABC Family also axed Jane by Design this summer, while Switched at Birth, Melissa & Joey, Baby Daddy and Pretty Little Liars were all renewed. The network also ordered additional episodes of Bunheads.

Only heard of melissa and joey and pretty little liars. And melissa and joey I don't like. Get so bored. Although I've always liked melissa. Just watch it for her =)
I loved this show in the beginning, but it started getting over-the-top ridiculous after season 2. It's had it's time, and now it's done.
Good, this show was painful to watch. I know its not a comedy but, I couldn't help but laugh at the ridiculous dilauge and horrible acting!!!!

Sad but not sad all at the sametime because it was good but when they got to Amy being with Ricky it's like they were set to be together and no one else so that wraps up the show.

I loved Seasons 1-4 (midseason) but the breaks are what kill the show. I had to catch most of the episodes on Netflix or on the ABC Family website because I was so busy. Then when the midseason and season ending breaks would come I would forget about the show (which is why by the time I remembered it was on Netflix). Anyway, I still haven't seen midseason 4 - midseason 5 but I guess I'll finish watching it now that it's being cancelled. It was kind of time though. It seemed like things started to get a bit ridiculous.
Ugh. Any show with a group of actors that make Bristol Palin look talented needs to go. I hate this show. The first season was good, but the second season just got ridiculous. The only good people on the show were Francia, and Molly Ringwald. And I'm partial to Molly because I LOVE the brat pack.
I feel like it's one of those shows that just keeps going. Like seriously, no one's lives can consistently suck that much.
$50 says the ending isn't a happy one.
It's about time! They should ve graduated and moved on to college life a year ago. Same concept every season.
