She talked about learning how to use a gun and all that ish when she interviewed on that German show. (Denzel Washington was there as well, it was around the same time as her performance on the EMA's). Nobody is trying to play this idea off as brand new. Miley didn't write the script though. She just found it funny and decided to play the part.
And the trailer DOES look really funny, so I WILL be going to see this movie. I loved Ms. Congeniality, and I'll probably love this too.
Miley also said that she loves doing movies and that she's not in it for the money.
