you hit the proverbial nail on the head with this. harmony korrine is a sick freak who basically airs out all his perversions on camera under the guise of simply offbeat film-making.
he said from the start that spring breakers was created with selena in mind to play one of the raunchiest roles. how on earth is that something to take pride in? that a director was thinking about all of the debased things he wanted to see you do on camera for him?
this whole thing seems like one big inside joke between harmony and james and everyone else involved. and it seems more and more twisted as these press conferences go on.
the thing is... ANYBODY could have played these characters is what all of the reviews are saying. the roles had no depth and there was no character development. so that selena going around acting like this was some major accomplishment doubly as sad. i made a verrrry long post about my feelings on this several MONTHS ago. i think i may have to go find it...
and oh, my... this just may be the cherry on the cake as far as revealing quotes from selena.
