I'm not sure if any of you have actually watched the TIFF conference video where she says that Harmony thought she was "super Christian" but you can tell as she's talking about it she starts to trail off and get quieter as she says "if I was a Christian, I probably wouldn't have done this movie". I think as she was talking she realized she was wording it wrong and didn't mean how it came across but didn't bother to correct herself. Especially since Ashley Benson was sitting a few seats away from her and she's a Christian that did the movie. I think she was just trying to say she isn't a "super Christian". That's just the way I interpreted it at least.

That's not true at all lol. Catholicism is a denomination of Christianity. Christians can be Catholic, Baptist, Jehova's Witnesses, Protestant, Anglican, etc. Catholicism would require that Selena have a priest. This can only be a man who has dedicated his life to God, and has in a sense, "married God" and therefor cannot have a wife. Many of the other denominations of Christianity aren't that strict and therefor have Preachers and Reverends as the heads of their church. This means that, based on Selena's words, she is NOT Catholic, or a Jehova's Witness lol, but she may be any other denomination of Christianity or even Non-Denominational, meaning she doesn't identify with any of the denominations and would attend a more "public" church.
Regardless, she is NOT Catholic, and she is Christian. Although all Catholics are Christians, all Christians are not Catholic.
