Wizard Of Waverly Place Reunion MOVIE
Selena Gomez will executive-produce and star in one-hour special to premiere in early 2013, reports Deadline. Jake T. Austin, Jennifer Stone, Maria Canals-Barrera, David DeLuise and Gregg Sulkin willl reprise their original roles. The storyline takes the Russo family and friends to Tuscany, Italy,
to meet their long lost relatives but when Alex (Gomez) tries to prove she’s more than a seemingly carefree young Wizard, she inadvertently conjures a spell that creates a Good Alex and an Evil Alex. When Evil Alex gets roped into a plan to take over the world, Good Alex must find a way to save her family and
humankind, which leads to a monumental battle between the two versions of herself, all atop the Tower of Pisa. The TV special was written by Vince Cheung and Ben Montanio (Wizards Of Waverly Place) & Dan Berendsen (Baby Daddy).
Victor Gonzalez (Wizards Of Waverly Place) will direct. Wizards Of Waverly Place was created by Todd J. Greenwald (Hannah Montana) and is produced by It’s a Laugh Productions for Disney Channel. Wizards Of Waverly Place won its third
Best Children’s Program Emmy at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards earlier this month. It has won twice for the series (2009, 2012) and once for the its TV movie offshoot (2010). It is the only scripted series to win the award in the past two decades, since Disney Channel’s Avonlea did it in 1993. Are YOU excited?

I think the show ended really nicely, and this is totally unnecessary. The first movie was actually written/produced well for a Disney Channel film, so I'm sure this one will be good, but I still don't get why they're making it..

Not really ! I was fan of hannah monatna when I was 14 , Miley also was 14 but now she is 20 I'm 20 and not just me all the little girls who grow up watcing the show
At age 20 your brain changes and for sure you would prefer to watch tv shows over disney channel show

Executive Producer is just a title, usually given to a star of a long running show and in return they help finance it. They have no creative input unlike a producer
and again the entire plot revolves around selena. the show wasn't like this when it started.

Just when i stoped watching disney channel eh ill watch the episode when it comes on. As for people talking about Selena going back, at least she's getting paid she'll make more in one episode then I will my entire life.

Okay, do you REALLY want a plot revolving around the other characters (1 character)? Besides, Selena will bring in the viewers. Jake, Maria, Deluise, etc. probably a couple thousand, going in the hundreds as you reach the adults. Might as well have the story about her character, which is the strongest one, anyway.
It's something you'll have to cross your fingers and toes for. David was with Disney for YEARSSSSSS so who knows...
Wow! So original! Different place, whatever! But at least she's making her younger fans happy and making money if this is true.

I never said or thought it would be for free. To be fair though Disney does not really pay huge. The show did really well and the fans of the show are being rewarded for backing them for four years. Just my opinion.
I loved watching wowp,i still watch it when it comes on a night. But the wowp movies suck tbh

Totally agree!! I think they main reason is that there was always talk about a WOWP movie 2 and also so that there's something for her younger fans to watch too. She's one smart business woman. She has to have the younger audience interested in her for her clothing & perfume line,nail polish line with OPI, her music and casemate cases work for older and younger fans. Yet at the same time, she's taking on the more edgier roles/music to grow as an actor/musician to reach an older audience and to be taken "seriously" and not be known just as a Disney star.
For those that hater her, you better learn to get use to her....she's got staying power

Let's face it, ratings wise, WOWP is Disney's most successful show. The finale got more views than any other show in Disney Channel history.
The WOWP movie was the most viewed DCOM after HSM2.
And Selena was Disney's highest paid actress (per episode) ever.
And let's not forget those 3 EMMY's.
