Taylor Swift’s father Scott has ordered Harry Styles to slow down his relationship with his daughter and ‘cool it’ after reports the pair were talking about marriage, reports Daily Mail. Harry told Taylor he loved her at their stay in Manhattan.
Taylor tweeted the lyric, ‘til you put me down, from her song ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’. The full lyric is ‘Flew me to places I’d never been/ ‘Til you put me down’. Taylor’s high school friend Abigail retweeted the tweeted.
Close friends say that Scott, who has guided Taylor’s career since she was a youngster, doesn’t want the pair to end their romance but is just protecting his daughter’s happiness.
A source told The Sun: ‘He likes Harry but he wants them to slow down and take things easy. It’s clear to everyone they are smitten with one another and are already talking about marriage: ‘Harry is head over heels for Taylor and even admitted he loves her while they were in the Big Apple.’
Taylor on love: It can be heartbreaking when you find out that your fairytale image of the world doesn’t match the reality. I used to read fairytales when I was young and I grew up with such a vivid imagination, and all that has fuelled this little world of mine.
I was pretty isolated in school. I had no place really to turn except inwards. We all want to believe in the ideal, even though we discover through bad relationships that it’s a difficult thing to find.
I think you need to believe in the fairy tale otherwise you become cynical and close yourself off to love because you stop trusting those incredible feelings that come over you at the beginning. But as you grow older, you learn to try to balance that faith in the ideal with the practical knowledge it can be very tough and heartbreaking when things don’t work out.’
