Taylor Swift Likes UK Band Lawson

Taylor Swift met UK band Lawson last December at Capital FM’s Jingle Ball. The band reacts in response to her liking their song ‘Standing in the Dark,’ in a recent MTV News Interview: “It’s awesome! We’re like massive fans of her music,” Lawson guitarist Joel Peat. On the first time meeting Taylor: “It was in London at the O2 [Arena], which is like one of the most iconic venues. So we were just buzzing, having come off stage there. And she came up and just said that she was a big fan of our music and that she had seen all of our videos on YouTube.” Andy Brown of Lawson added, “She really liked our song ‘Standing in the Dark.” Bassist Ryan Fletcher said, “It’s great having Taylor behind us, isn’t it?”

On doing a collaboration with Taylor: “We’d love to, absolutely love to if she’s interested,” Brown said. “Maybe do some writing together. We love her music though, that’s the main thing.

Despite rumors on recording on Bieber’s Believe Acoustic album, they would still love to collaborate, saying: “It’s nice being in that environment, because there’s loads of really cool people around, like Drake was knocking about as well and Van Halen knocking around doing some stuff. And it’s a really cool studio and we recorded half our album [Chapman Square] out there as well. We love being out there and writing new stuff. Justin seems to be in there quite a lot.She seems to really like British boys… #RIPhaylor
