Selena Gomez NEO Adidas Sweatshop?

INFphoto_2421811

In NYC on Wednesday evening Selena Gomez was in the front row at the first-ever fashion show for NEO by Adidas, for whom she serves as brand ambassador. In the middle of the event, n uninvited young woman in a T-shirt and hoodie handed Selena and other guests a flyer, with a companion nearby also distributing the material.

Claiming that Adidas is involved in ‘sweatshop’ labor practices overseas, the flyer read: ‘Selena Gomez: Be an ambassador for children, not for sweatshops.’ Selena was shocked by the protester, who was quickly escorted off the premises by security.

Selena said: ‘Thank you so much for coming out. I’m so excited to be a part of this and so excited to see what you guys did with it, you did an amazing job!’ Hopefully it is NOT true because it would be sad to take money from a company that uses sweatshops.

ofcourse it doesnt make it okay but dont sit there and blame her as if shes the only spokesperson for a company that uses sweat shops

OMG, I forgot, selena. is. still a robot. She will never grow up. Black mark on her part.

Oh, yeah–Miley doesn’r have a clothing line anymore so your comment about her is irrelevant.

first this is a serious issue so to the haters grow up.she’s just an spokes woman for the shoe in question. Second she or her managers should have done research to check if Adidas use minors or cheap labor. Third those protesters should also protest wal-mart,Nike,max Azria, reebok and all those Hollywood companies who make fashion dresses for the use of children and immigrants for cheap labor. I don’t blame her for these even if she helps with the design. But she should leave the campaign because she’s an UNICEF ambassador. It wounding look good in the eyes of children.

Selena is a robot. People control her entire career. Every decision she makes is because her management is telling her too. It’s obvious. You can tell whebn artist have the reins in their career (Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lawernce, Katy Perry) and Selena isn’t one of them. She isn’t that bright and she lacks talent so of course somewhat has to manage her. She’s just a pretty face.

I see selena is still storing away nuts.

    It’s all about money.

Selena doesn’t do anything for good unless it gives her more attention. Fakes disney princess ever to walk the earth.

    Money hungry bitch.

Think Selenas agent would check this out before allowing his client to represent a company that doe use sweat shops and child workers. Sure lots of companies do but you would hope that big brand names would stop that practice!

so true !! she’s so fake

  • Anonymous

selena didn’t know bwcause she is just a little robot , doing everything her PR team tells her . she has no voice in her career , she is just a pathetic fake girl

First off, ofcourse she did it for the money .. are you fucken kidding me! What do you think when people endorse SHOES they are doing it for any other reason? Grow up!

Second, what company ISNT using sweatshops? Walmart uses them.. miley cyrus had her clothing line with them… do the math!

    lol somebody is pressed

Adidas has no problem with child workers. Their problem is with a closed factory in Indonesia where they have no paid all the debts to employees.

    MAYA!!!!!

just because every company does it , doesn’t make it okay

If anything is sad its the fact she never works out and even says she hates it but is a spokesperson for a workout brand lol

I agree. She grabs onto endorsement deals for the cash without thinking about what shie representing. An Ambassador? Wow, what a title to be paid to have your name associated with a pair of sneakers, allegedly made by sweatshop kids.

Couldn’t happen to a better person.

IT’S MAYAS TIME TO SHINE FINALLY!

  • nownlaterz

she actually seems so sweet :)

LOL everyone knows that Adidas and Nike use sweatshops almost exclusively. Look it up. When celebrities endorse something like this and then go and pretend to care so much about poverty, it really makes them look foolish. I expected more from Selena especially though.

  • Anonymous

She’s a Unicef ambassador. She really should be aware of sweatshops. I learned about that when I was 15. Why would you endorse this just for a cheque? This confuses me.

Nothing is happening to her. She got involved w this. Someone just decided to call her out. Wish more pple would do that.

  • Anonymous

Wow, Adidas pulled a fast one on her or did she know that Adidas used sweatshops and she did this for the money if so then shame on her, greedy bitch!!!!!

  • Anonymous

LOL Adidas has been doing this the whole time. It’s Selena and PR team’s responsibility. But the way this is being reported is like this ‘protester’ was on the same level as the crazy PETA paint throwers. This is an honest legitimate concern and hypocrisy on Selena’s part.

She makes no sense. Clearly, she’s having trouble letting go of her last ounce of relevance by leaving Bieber, cuz she keeps doing literally EVERYTHING he does.

This bitch can’t get people to offer her up opportunities unless someone of higher fame helps her out. she’s such a pathetic, ugly slut.
