Bieby Mom on Jelena, Pot + Abortion

In a recent interivew with the Washington Post, Pattie Mallette, Bieby’s mom, had clarified she is NOT anti-abortion, but wants to raise funds to help women who are pregnant. The Washington Post says: She’s not interested in the political fray on abortion as she promotes “Crescendo,” a new film she hopes will raise $10 million for centers that help pregnant girls. Pattie Mallette, an unmarried teen herself when she had Bieber, signed on as an executive producer after the film was finished. She said Thursday that she connected personally with the story about a suicide and abortion attempt by Beethoven’s mother. “The press has been saying that I’m producing an anti-abortion film and taking this big stance. You know, I haven’t shared my stance with anyone and I’m not here to make a political statement, so there’s been a lot of assumptions made.”

Mallette, in numerous interviews and her autobiography, “Nowhere but Up,” has recounted her own suicide attempt, pressure to have an abortion when she became pregnant at 18 and struggles with drugs and alcohol before becoming a Christian. The movie does include some producers who have anti-abortion beliefs, she said, but her goal is simple: to support residential programs like the one that helped her after her parents kicked her out of the house in Canada. “The pregnancy center that I lived in is now closed because of lack of funds, so I thought it was a really important thing that they’re doing to raise money,” Mallette said. The movie will be released Feb. 28 worldwide.

Mallette has had her share of mom moments of late with her only child, who at 18 is the youngest singer to have five chart-topping albums and will be both host and musical guest for the Feb. 9 episode of “Saturday Night Live” on NBC. Like his Instagram photo (since deleted) of his butt crack. What ran through her head?

“I thought, I’m a mom, I don’t want to see that,” Mallette sighed, shaking her head. “I don’t want to see him doing that kind of stuff. But, you know, he’s 18. He’s making some of his own decisions and he’s going to make some mistakes and he’s going to make some good choices, too.” What of reports of pot smoking and partying with “sizzurp”-downing hip hop singers — sizzurp being a purplish mixture of cough syrup with codeine and promethazine, a carbonated soft drink and pieces of Jolly Rancher candy.

“It’s hard, you know, as a mom of an 18-year-old because that’s the time when you just gotta start letting go,” she said. “And, you know, I had to make some of my own mistakes. I gotta kind of let go and let him make some of his own mistakes and just hope that I put all the right things in him.”

And what of Bieber’s relationship with Selena Gomez? “I have no idea if they’re on-again, off-again,” she said. “It’s a constant thing. Today I’m not sure where they stand. I try to stay out of it. He’s 18. He doesn’t want me getting involved in his romantic life.”

Agreed abortion SHOULD be baned. If you have sex, you deal with the consequences, regardless. No baby ASKED to be born, so don’t kill it because you was being a irresponsible person. Rap victim, or not. Doesn’t matter.

Maybe you should learn some GRAMMAR before you comment. So a RAPE VICTIM is IRRESPONSIBLE? Wow….I never realized women had a responsibility to not get raped. Rape isn’t something anyone has control over, and if rape victims have to go through their pregnancy and keep the baby it’s like having to go through the horrific situation over and over again for the rest of their lives.

Abortion should be the girls choice. Its her life, her body. And others shouldn’t jump in with their 2 cents to tell her what to do….are YOU going to support that child after its born? Many that are born to mothers (notice how I’m not including the usual ghost fathers after they find out they knocked a girl up and run as fast as they can) that cant afford or want them and they grow up in horrible conditions, neglect, drug conditions, and abuse. So your saying its better to force the woman to have the baby so the child can have a shitty abusive life? (not saying they all do, but most) You have people that have babies by accident (condoms and birth control aren’t always 100%), babies are expensive and very life changing. To say rape victims HAVE TO keep the baby is hypocritical. First off what a woman does with her body isn’t your business, your so worried about if she’s having abortions are you there for her every Mammogram and OBGYN exam as well…since apparently other people’s bodies are your business. Second to force a woman to have a unwanted baby from a situation that was traumatic for her such as rape,is not going to be a great environment for that child, nor for the woman. Then there’s the whole oh just give the baby up for adoption….you know how many kids are waiting to be adopted already? You know how many have shitty lives waiting to be adopted and not have “normal” childhoods? Why willingly emotionally torture kids when you don’t have to.
Also besides the part when conception happens and the time frame when your able to abort safely…they aren’t really babies and have no clue they even existed…so don’t worry they wont be asking to be born.

And no I never had an abortion…I just think there’s different situations that are right for different women….and not everyone is ready to take care of a baby…and someone else who most likely never had a baby shouldn’t tell other women what they should do with their bodies and their life. Especially having the balls to tell a “Rap” victim they were an “irresponsible person” and have to keep the baby, because they say so. God forbid your ever raped and get pregnant and hopefully get no diseases…your mindset may change.

Abortion is a personal choice. But,it shouldnt be discussed on a teeny bopper gossip site.

Ugh Justin’s mom disgusts me just as much as he does. she was getting welfare money and money from her parents when she had Justin….and now she lets him run wild and says stupid stuff like ” I gotta kind of let go and let him make some of his own mistakes and just hope that I put all the right things in him.” Yes, you should give your kid some freedom but when your kid is a mess like Justin drugs, the way he acts, his friends, etc as a parent its your responsibility to keep them in line…but whats she care she makes money off of him.

I always thought it was weird how Biebs and Sel brought their whole family into the relationship.Like who at 18yo does that? Usually you try to keep bf/gf and parents away from each other, but they rushed into things to fast and I just hope the families connecting doesn’t affect their choices to stay away from each other. I def think they need to not be together Justin maturity level is lower then most boys his age, yes its fun to have a “bad boy” or someone you can do things with that you missed out on when you were younger, but thats not bf material you dont want to be with a child you have to take care of
