Grammy Bans Taylor Swift From Exposure

Many celebrities who will be attending the Grammy’s this year have been warned and banned from wearing explicit outfits. A leaked email was sent out to Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson, Alicia Keys, Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert by broadcaster CBS. The ban includes problematic outfits exposing ‘female breasts’, “buttock crack” and “the genital region” at Sunday’s (February 10) ceremony at the Los Angeles Staples Center.

According to Deadline, the reminder reads: “Please be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered. Thong-type costumes are problematic. Please avoid exposing bare fleshy under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack. Bare sides or under curvature of the breasts is also problematic. Please avoid sheer see-through clothing that could possibly expose female breast nipples. Please be sure the genital region is adequately covered so that there is no visible ‘puffy’ bare skin exposure.”

Artists have also reportedly been told that clothing promoting bands or featuring foreign languages must be pre-approved. Do YOU think the ban is taking the dress code too seriously for the Grammy’s? Wspecially since Carly Rae has been nominated for two…lol

There is an oversexualzation of the female breast. Men have the same breasts as women, women just have more breast tissue. I don’t think women should be treated any differently and the human body should not be banned.

Thank God Justin Bieber isn’t invited or he’ll probably flash and expose his gay ass again at the event.

Well this is gonna suck for any of the women attending already picked out a dress that could be too showy lol

The Grammys is an Black Tie Event. If you want to show your boobs, butt or vagina wear it at a MTV award show.

Oh the shade from Oceanup and you spelled especially wrong! Smh. At the end of the day, Call me Maybe was repetitive, at times annoying, catchy, etc.(just like taylors nominated music) When the beat drops you WILL sing-a-long, so stop lying to yourselves. It was #1 the WHOLE summer & she stopped Justin from getting his first #1 single on Billboard. *Insert Kanye shrug* The song isn’t a ballad and doesn’t do her voice justice and you self-righteous bitches are too shallow to listen to her other stuff. Remember when everyone thought I kissed a girl was going to be Katy’s only hit? Exactly. Taylor has won a Grammy for best female vocalist. -_- If you want to talk about a joke then start with that. Everyone knows the Grammys are not like they used to be, but then again the music today isnt like it used to be. I can name you LEGENDS who has never won a Grammy. It’s easier today. What I’m trying to say is, it’s a new era of music so don’t act like Carly being nominated is the worst thing that has happened in the last 5-10 years or so at the Grammys cause its not. AND wtf are they banning her from showing? Bitch has nothing..if anything needs to be banned its that oh so famous dress Jennifer Lopez wore. Can you say VA VA VOOMMMM!!! I was waiting for her nip to slip out all evening.

I don’t really want to watch the Grammy’s cause of her and Carly Rae there but I am interested in seeing The Black Keys, Mumford & Sons, Kelly Clarkson, Fun. and The Lumineers there (the actual talented acts) but I guess I’ll mute the tv if I watch and see an annoying pop star comes on..

I think it’s sad that it’s had to come to that. But there are so many artists that OVERexpose themselves it’s almost ridiculous. It’s not a porn shoot it’s the Grammy’s, have some taste.

I don’t see a problem with cleavage but I don’t understand the need for the see through dresses, pasties etc. Wear something classy and sexy but don’t be a slut. It’s not that hard to get.

Exactly. I dont need to see camel toe or nipples. We get it, you’re pretty and have a good figure…no need to pose half naked on the red carpet. Want to look like a hoe bag then go to the MTV awards and stand alongside Nicki Minaj, Rihanna etc.

What the hell do they expect them to were then!

Clothing. A dress. Why do you have to expose 90% of your skin to be sexy? Someone said it above best…it’s not a porno shoot it’s the Grammy’s. Have some taste. Have some class.

Women have been brainwashed into thinkng that they can only be successful if they dress a certain way. Sex sells, right? You can still be sexy without being offensive. They aren’t saying you can’t wear a form fitting dress or show cleavage, they just want it to be tasteful. I think lately stars have been pushing the envelope way too far. You want to dress that way for a video or at your own concert, fine. But not on a red carpet at a black tie event. Not at the Grammy’s.

People have always dressed provocative at the.Grammy’s. Yes, it is a “black tie event”, but it’s the one major award show where everyone pushes the limits and let’s their personality come through (even in the most ridiculous dresses). I honestly don’t think that any of them will listen to the email because in the end celebrities do whatever they want. The Grammy’s people waited too long to tell them not to dress a certain way. :/

  • xAskTaylorx

This is BS because people have worn dresses like that in the past! Just another awards show! Lol.

It’s wasn’t just sent to them. It was sent to everyone.

When did Taylor ever have anything to show off in the first place? I guess the rumors from the target ad about the boob job was true.

Well at least she’s showing some skin here. You can see her adhesive bra in photo number 1 and photo number 2 just leaves it to the imagination.

taylor always looks good on the red carpet but i am sure she was planning on doing the plunging neckline thing again. she seems to like showing off her boobs lately. haha.

TBH, i don’t think any of the stars on that list are the ones they should be worrying about. lady gaga and the other freakshow nicki minnaj, however, should definitely have gotten this sort of warning ages ago.

This “warning” should have been issued a looong time ago. At this point, censorship is the only hope… the only chance of salvation for American culture.

it’s their event, they can request whatever they want & while I understand to a certain extent(like Lil’ Kim type outfits) it kinda irks me that they’re targeting women’s bodies & dress here. I’ve seen men on the red carpet show a bunk of skin too. They don’t tell guys to make sure their shirts aren’t see-through.

But I guess boobs are scary to CBS & “family values.”

“Please be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered.

SO man boobs are okay though, right? Otherwise RIck Ross can’t go.
