Demi Lovato, ‘Music Is My Therapy’

Demi’s using her 2013 album release to shut up any of the haters who may have wondered if she’s experienced enough to judge talent on the reality singing show. She told MTV: ‘Well I definitely want to back up why I was a mentor on ‘X Factor.’ I don’t want to go on my album and kind of make people think ‘Well what does she know about judging?’ And I definitely think I’m going to accomplish hopefully a positive response. I just always thought I need to give it my all ’cause that’s what my contestants were doing.

Well not only does the album say a lot about where I am in life right now [but] like there’s follow-up songs. I feel like one is a follow-up song to ‘Skyscraper.’ I feel like other ones talk about some issues I haven’t spoken about. I’m continuing to let out a lot of things therapeutically on my music and I’m very thankful I have the opportunity to do that. I’ve been working with incredible producers. There’s so many I don’t even know who to name, but I do have a collaboration with somebody. I don’t know if I’m allowed to tell but it’ll be dope.’

I gotta be honest. The way she speaks about her music, therapy and past issues is awesome. There are not a lot of people out there in the Hollywood world who would say what she says, and I admire that about her.

Actually, you were on XFactor because Simon thought you would boost the ratings with your fans watching (even though that plan failed). So please sit. I agree that you are the 2nd best to Miley out of Disney (they set the bar pretty low though), but you have sold like 1.2 million albums of your WHOLE discography, and you can thank your lovatics for making GYHAB a big “success” for requesting it on the radio 24/7. It was just another generic pop song, nothing special. Write your own music, sing songs that are in your range, hire a vocal coach, and quit building your career off sympathy and your issues that you so exaggerate constantly. Contrary to your own beliefs, there are mucho celebrities who have talked about their past issues; you are not the first and will not be the last. After that, THEN more people might actually take you seriously. Thank you.

I know she has never “said” that but I don’t get why people don’t realize that you don’t have to directly say anything to get a point across
