Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne have signed SEPARATE publishing deals to cash in on all songs they have credits for writing. They are beginning to look after their own interests following the phenomenal success of their first couple of years in the industry.
The publishing deals are being overseen by Fingate, the company who also cash in on Elvis Presley’s back catalogue as well as work by Britney Spears, Black Eyed Peas and Foo Fighters. Source: ‘This is a real statement of intent from the band. They have absolutely no intention of being spoon-fed pop puppets. They want to write and they want to earn as individuals.
One Direction said they are ‘too busy’ for boxing match w/ The Wanted for charity. Zayn told Metro: ‘I already offered Max. I asked him if he wants to fight and he didn’t want to.’ Louis: ‘It is such bullsh*t because they will not live up to their word. I love an argument but it’s even got boring for me now. I mean.. grow up.’
Liam: ‘We’re all too busy anyway. When is this ever going to happen? We’d do it on a day off and that would be boring.” Ah, Captain Sensible strikes again. Like.. there just wouldn’t be time to do it on a weekday. How would they fit it around dinner?’
‘Our Moment’ hits Harrods’ shelves on August 23, 2013. It’s ‘vibrant and playful fruity floral that is made up of pink grapefruit, wild berries, redcurrants, jasmine, freesia, musk, and a touch of patchouli.’ Harry: ‘It’s been a long and exciting process, and we’re really proud to have made a One Direction fragrance..’
The eau de parfum ranges from $20.00 to $59.50 and will be available to purchase this fall, the scent will also come in a body lotion and shower gel. Niall: ‘I’ve tested it on my family and they love it, and we can’t wait to show it to our fans across the world.’
Zayn Malik has been inspired by stars of comic books and the big screen to create a giant Gromit sculpture for the high profile public arts trail taking place in Bristol this summer: ‘I’m absolutely delighted to be able to lend my support to Gromit Unleashed to raise funds for Wallace and Gromit’s Grand Appeal.
Being asked to design and paint a Gromit was an absolute honour and despite being busy on tour, it’s given me something to look forward to on my down time in between shows. My house is going to feel a whole lot emptier and a lot less green without it!’ Zayn Malik’s ‘The Green Gromit’ is one of eighty individually-designed giant sculptures of Gromit that will populate Bristol and beyond for ten weeks from 1st July until 8th September.
