The Jonas Brothers revealed to People Magazine exclusively that they are officially over, for now. Nearly three weeks after the Jonas Brothers announced they were canceling their tour due to a “deep rift within the band,” the brothers tell PEOPLE that they’ve decided to call it quits.
Kevin Jonas: ‘It’s over for now.’ Nick Jonas: ‘It’s really hard to say ‘forever, we’re closing a chapter, for sure.’ Joe Jonas: ‘It was a unanimous decision.’ It all came after a meeting on Oct. 3, where Nick Jonas confessed to his brothers that he had serious concerns about the future of the band, Nick Jonas admitted, “I was feeling kind of trapped, I needed to share my heart with my brothers.’
The Jonas Brothers will be on Good Morning America tomorrow at 7AM ET to talk about the breakup. How do YOU feel about the Jonas Brothers officially being over? Do YOU think Nick broke up the group or one of their girlfriends influenced it?
UPDATE: Source told E! Online: ‘There are no personal issues. They just all wanted different things. They love each other. They always will. Joe wants to do acting and art and his own music. He’s passionate and has his own set of goals.’ Kevin is busy doting on his pregnant wife and focusing on fatherhood.
‘Kevin wants to focus on being a dad. He can’t wait for Danielle to have their baby. His priorities have changed. Nick wants to focus on music and Broadway. The rumors about Joe having any substance abuse problems are totally false. He is fine and he’s the sweetest kid ever. They have different career aspirations now. They are not the same people they used to be. Family comes first which is why this was the best decision for them as brothers.’
