Selena ‘I Lived W/ 6 Girls In One Bedroom’

Selena Gomez first experienced life in Los Angeles with a meager lifestyle after her mom had her at age 16: ‘I moved from my biological father and I just moved with my mom and I lived with six other girls in a one-bedroom loft, so we had lots of air mattresses. My mom has always allowed me to be who I want to be.’

See its stories like this that make me love Sel even more. I remember she said one story about how she would have to look through her car for change for gas money with her mom and it made me cry because at one point I had to go through that. She isn’t telling these stories to get people to pity her. She’s trying to inspire people to go after what they want and it makes her so relate-able. I love her so fucking much.

I was bout to comment that ‘oh god, is she fishing for pitty points or…?’ but I didn’t know that this was an actual thing. Good to know… Interesting how Sel came about! I had no idea — she rarely talks about it! (which is a good thing cuz she isnt trying to get attention via sob story)

Yeah…. we all knew she did not really grow up with money before Disney but had no idea whatsoever it was that bad… I really love this kid. I just wish she would dedicate more time with UNICEF.

I saw this yesterday and my mom said “I hope she stays humble then, can’t say the same for the one whose tongue is never in her mouth & think she’s shaking something worth shaking. What’s her name again?” Sadly I’ve lived in worse conditions where I won’t be talking about them online with only a bunch of strangers to scrutinize me but I will say I understand where she came from.

The good news to me is you said… “lived”. So you are good now right?

Awe, OMG. Thank you for noticing. Yes, I am beyond good now.
