Lea Michele Cannonball Live + Cory Talk

Lea Michele performing her new single ‘Cannonball’ and talking about recording after Cory Monteith died: ‘Ryan Murphy, who is so amazing, he came to Kate [Hudson]‘s house and he said what do you want to do, whatever you want to do we’ll do.

I said I have to go back to work. We have to do this is, they’re my family and what people also don’t understand is that going to work is no harder than being at home and being in the house and opening up a closet and seeing a pair of shoes.

There’s this grief that goes with you everyday, whatever you’re doing. When there are great moments, [there are] hard moments so I’d rather, for me, be at work with the people who I love that are going through [it] and it obviously has it’s own triggers, but at the end of the day I feel so safe there. And like I said, they’re my family.’

I admire her strength through all of this. To go through such a personal loss so publicly and still be able to achieve what is achieving is amazing. I wish her nothing but happiness and success.

Wow, her strength is unimaginable. Don’t know how she does it. I hope she sees the admiration and continued support she’s receiving from people all over(not just fans) and hopefully it’s something that gets her through each day and especially uplifts her through the rough ones. Sending her love and blessings.

I am so touched by her strength. She truly is something special. I am wishing nothing but success & happiness for her as she continues her life & career. Cory is looking down so proudly at her.

I love Lea so much and admire her strenght too <3 but I just think that she should sing something that isn't mainstream pop. I mean, she has a voice as powerful as idk, maybe Whitney? And pop songs don't valorize these kinds of voices.

I do not like this song. I really try to like it, but her broadway voice and this pop tune just don’t work

  • kendall

Although I ADMIRE Lea for being so strong, this song was just off. I think her voice, and this pop tune just don’t work. However, I hope that her other songs are better because she is such a good singer and her voice is amazing and I just wish her debut album does great. She deserves it after everything she’s gone through. :)
