Justin Bieber ATTACKED BY PETA

justin-bieber-puppy-karma-picturesJustin Bieber has been attacked for buying his new puppy ‘Karma’ for $600 by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). They have accused Justin of setting a bad example to his fans.

Daphna Nachminovitch, PETA’s Senior Vice President of Cruelty Investigations: ‘Whether or not reports are true that Justin Bieber purchased a puppy from a pet store for $600, PETA wants to remind everyone that when you buy a dog or cat from a pet store or breeder, you sentence an animal in a shelter to death.

Six to eight million homeless animals enter shelters every year, and half of them must be euthanized for lack of a good home, so there is no excuse for buying an animal, no matter who you are.’ Do YOU think Justin Bieber is a bad role model?

UPDATED with video & pix of Bieber @ Blue Mountains ski resort, Ontario.

no. what happens to a dog in a shop if they don’t get bought? they get killed too. either way some animal gets killed. PETA is a joke.

    • WatchOut

      This!!!!

    • No…

By purchasing a pet from a shop you’re only supporting the puppy mill industry. Have you never seen any videos or pictures of a puppy mill? Those dogs are kept in TINY cages out in the cold and never touch the ground. As somebody who has recently adopted a dog (who spent 7 year of his life in a cage) I can tell you adopted dogs are ten times more affectionate and loving than a breeder or pet store’s dog.

If there’s no problem with the industry then please explain why countless pet stores are shutting down their puppy and kitten “displays”? Being from Canada, I’m pretty sure there are zero places in Toronto hat sell dogs now.

Obviously PETA can get out of hand sometimes and probably didn’t have to involve themselves with this but can we all look back to how Justin Bieber abandoned his monkey? He didn’t even come back to check on him…. real love right there huh?

Next time try not to sound so ignorant towards these things and do your research first.

      • WatchOut

He does not care about his pets thats right, but if the puppies in the stores are not sold they get in shelters and than killed.

        • Godney

But if they get in shelters …. they can get adopted.
Thats the point of all of this.
If someone doesnt buy a puppy in the store when they puppy is big or kinda old they get to shelters, if everybody stop shoping for dogs or cats and we all adopt we are making all these pets shop close.

I know that seeing those puppies in the store makes people sad and wants to buy them, it makes me wanna buy them so bad too. They seem so sad there, but if we buy them we are only making more puppies to get there.

      • Marina And My Diamonds

Firstly that monkey was bought FOR him not by him and he was taken waaay too young from his mother nor did the person that purchased the monkey have the papers. The person who sold him in the first place is the disgusting one. Justin let them keep the monkey for the better. Don’t assume on situations where you have literally ONE side of the story. Also maybe YOU should actually do a little more research yourself on buying animals from pet shops or pet shelters. It literally is the same sad outcome for the ones that are never offered a good home.

        • .

Ok so the monkey was still a gift but he could have given it up for adoption appropriately instead of abandoning it in a foreign country. Watch the video of the monkey freaking out when it sees a picture of Justin.

What about his hamster that he gave away to a complete stranger? How did he know it would be safe? I know there’s only one side of the story out right now but actions speak louder than words. He really doesn’t have a good track record but hopefully he’ll turn it around.

          • Godney

yess!!, if he cared about the monkey he could have said “you man, i love the gift but i just cant keep it” and give it to a place when it can take care of. Not just leave it in another country.

      • anna

I’ve seen those videos, made by PETA, so of course they are going to over exaggerate.

Not all dogs from shops come from a puppy mill. Many of them come from breeders. Breeders don’t put their dogs in tiny cages and there is absolutely nothing wrong with breeding. It is to make sure the dog is pure breed and so that you know the family history of the dog. So that you know what to expect from the dog so that you can be the best owner you can possibly be.

You cannot tell me adopted dogs are ten times more affectionate and loving than a dog from a pet store. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever read. It can be your opinion, sure, but nonetheless, it is not a fact.

Pet stores can get shut down because they are still a store. Sales matter. If people aren’t buying the dogs, they aren’t making money and the dogs have to be put to sleep. These are still poor, helpless dogs that need a home. Stop making it out like these dogs are horrible dogs that shouldn’t be adopted just because they come from a pet store. They deserve a home, too.

Justin Bieber’s monkey is safe and sound in a zoo. He loves animals and has saved the lives of various animals.

Next time try not to sound so ignorant towards these things and do your research first.

        • Godney

“Justin Bieber’s monkey is safe and sound in a zoo.”… because animals in zoo are SOOOO happy!!! -.-

          • Cara

Zoo animals should be happy. They get fed, have friends and don’t have to worry about being killed by prey.

  • Tassyane

ok, I’m so not a fan of this guy but blaming him for animal abuse by the actions that his fans may do is mental. Really, PETA? Animals get killed everyday, but pretty sure that buying a dog at a pet shop isn’t the main cause…

    • Cimbom

bieber had a monkey what happened with it? he didnt give a fuck bout it, took it away from its mother/home and left it behind in germany, not caring what happened to it! im sure this is the same fate from the dog! i hate people who are like bieber! they buy a pet, but in the end the poor animals live in the streets, what a nice guy-.-

  • K

Poor dog, we all know Justin will just abandon him somewhere when he gets bored of the dog (like he did with his other pets).
Another reason to dislike this brat.

    • Unicorn

The only animal he ”abonded” was the monkey , and you should get informed better what really happened with the monkey. His hamster was given to some fan and taken good care off, he had a dog and still has it he is obviously taken good care of just as his cat and his new dog for sure will be good. Another reason MADE UP by cunts like you to hate on Bieber? nice try.

  • Marina And My Diamonds

Omg, he or she is a cutie!

  • Dash

Oh god this is a little too much, people by animals from the pet store everyday. If anything he gave this pet a new home then the one it had at the store in a glass box, there’s nothing wrong with buying a pet from the pet store as apposed to an animal shelter. yeah he could’ve rescued one but there was nothing wrong with this either.

    • Dash

      buy*

    • Nbl

Pet stores are known to support puppy mills.

    • Anonymous5

Buying a puppy from a pet store not only supports the puppy mill that
he/she came from, but it eliminates the chance of saving a perfectly
healthy dog from a shelter where it will die if it doesn’t find a home.
If enough people stop supporting pet stores then they will get shut down
and the remaining puppies will find homes. Breeding dogs for that much
money IS wrong when there are so many out there that desperately need
      homes.

      • anna

stop making breeders look like the bad guy. Breeders breed as a job so they can make money to feed their family. They take their jobs very seriously. Rather than targeting breeders for doing nothing wrong, get mad at the people who do not spay or neuter their animal, adding to the animal population so that these animals have to go to the animal shelter to find out their fate. In my opinion, in a perfect world, all animals would be from breeders and you would need a license to breed, making it illegal for people to not spay or neuter their animals so that they have to end up at the SPCA.

        • Godney

“Breeders breed as a job so they can make money to feed their family”…. so do pimps.
So do the horrible guys that kidnap little girls and boys to sell them as sex toys.
They are all making money OUT OF OTHERS LIVING. Does that makes it ok?
          Stupid fuck.

          • Anna

SPCA also makes money from selling animals…its not free there either you know.

        • Anonymous5

Breeding animals should not be a person’s source of income. Using animals for money is just sad in my opinion, especially when millions of animals die in shelters every year because of excessive breeding. You say get mad at the people who don’t spay or neuter their animals, but that’s exactly what breeders do. They produce puppies which will later produce their own puppies and the cycle continues. I certainly agree that breeders should have a license and spaying and neutering should be a necessity.

          • anna

I know thats what breeders do, which is why I said breeders should have a license to be able to do so, making it illegal for everyone else. The over population of animals isn’t the cause of breeders, its the cause of ignorant people who don’t spay or neuter their animal because they don’t know thats what prevents animal pregnancy, and some people want their animal to have kittens/puppies so that they can sell them to friends, when theres ~10 baby animals and only 2 friends who want them, the rest end up in the shelter.

And a lot of people use animals for income. Zoos, Siegfied and Roy (back in the day), circuses. As long as they’re not harming the animal it should be ok. And breeders don’t hurt animals. Puppy mills do, and I am against puppy mills, but most pet stores these days get their animals from breeders.

          • Anonymous5

I would agree with most of what you’re saying if there wasn’t an over population problem in shelters. IF there weren’t millions of dogs dying yearly then yes, I would agree that breeders with licenses would be the proper way to go about getting a dog. I hope that in the future that’s how it will be. But in order for that to happen, people would have to stop breeding while these dogs are still being euthanized because there’s no room for them at shelters. If people continue to breed then there will continue to be shelters full of unwanted animals.

And I definitely agree that more people need to be educated on spaying and neutering. Too many people want to have puppies or kittens because they think it will be fun and then they don’t know how to take care of them or they end up unwanted. That’s another reason I support shelters, they usually have the animal spayed or neutered before they can be adopted.

I know a lot of people get their income from animals, I just personally don’t think it’s right. (Although most circuses DO harm their animals.) And I’ve learned that even though many pet stores say that they don’t get their animals from puppy mills, oftentimes they still do.

I really don’t want to argue about this, I’ve just done SO much research on this subject for a public speaking class, and I’ve worked with rescues and seen what can happen to puppies that come from breeders when people decide they don’t want them anymore.

          • anna

yeah, its sad there is such a high overpopulation of animals but i don’t think if breeders stopped or if puppy stores were shut down that it would help, or even if it did help it wouldn’t be significant. some people just want pure bred animals and thats what is super hard to find in shelters, most are mixed. and i think many of the people who get pure bred would go to a shelter and settle for a mixed animal. hopefully in the future something can be settled to fix the overpopulation.

overall, going back to the post, i just don’t think its the end of the world that justin adopted from a shelter. he still adopted, still saved a life..and thats what should make PETA happy

  • KT

PETA is hyprocritical in so many ways, but the whole adopting versus buying argument pisses me off. First of all when you got to a shelter you still have to PAY to adopt the animal. You are still BUYING it. So really when you purchase ANY animal you are ADOPTING it. At the end of the day that pet is in a loving and caring home regardless of where he/she came from.
For future reference I am not against adoption at shelters. Most of my pets have been adopted from shelters, but some I have gotten from pet stores or friends too.

    • Nbl

I adopted my dog for $125. I got $100 back when I got her fixed. The $25 dollars goes to food for the dogs at the shelter. None of it goes to profit. So no, you’re not really “buying” a dog from a shelter. It’s a forced donation.

      • Godney

When i adopted my first dog i asked if i had to pay and they told me “you can donate money, donate food, anything you want. Its all up to you”.

        • Nbl

I think it depends on the state and the county. Richer counties can probably afford to do that. Also the ASPCA is different from animal control (or the pound) which is where I got my baby

  • Mila

Why does Justin dispose his animals, like he disposes his girlfriends and prostitutes?

  • Diana

I’m all for adopting from shelters but sometimes people want a specific type of dog or cat and a shelter can’t offer that. Sometime shelters don’t have puppies or kittens it all depends where you go, but I still support people adopting animals I think its great. If you want to buy froma breeder or a store it’s your own business, after all it is your pet. PETA is hypocritical anyways, they put to sleep half of the animals they receive anyways, so them being mad at justin for not adopting because the animals get put to death makes absolutely no sense.

    • in jesus name i pray amen

IA… PETA can be so over-the-top ridiculous sometimes. Like chill the fuck out, the world is still spinning.

  • laura

One of my professors showed us a video about PETA shooting stray cats and then freezing them or something (I have a sensitive stomach so I couldn’t bear watching it).
So honestly, I don’t really feel like PETA has the right to talk about anything, at all.
But, I do agree that it’s better to adopt than to buy a pet.

    • in jesus name i pray amen

…. for what purpose were they shooting stray cats & freezing them? LMFAO.

      • laura

Beats me… But they threw them away afterwards or something. I didn’t watch the entire thing so I honestly have no idea :s

        • in jesus name i pray amen

Are you sure it was PETA? or was it a video PETA made which demonstrated animal abuse, as you described? LOL I cant imagine PETA doing that lmfao

          • laura

no no no it was PETA. They even gave some sort of press conference afterwards according to my professor.

  • in jesus name i pray amen

This is kind of stupid for PETA to attack over… people BUY dogs from stores/breeders all the time. I do, and I’m not about to apologize for it. When will you ever see a t-cup chihuahua or a pure bred cocker spaniel/king cavlier spaniel there? You wont… you can’t find many of the more unique breeds, because they’re in so much high demand.

tl;dr, I am not sorry for paying $1200 on my tcup bb poochiepoo, which you would never be able to find at the pound/adoption center.

    • You can look up rescues for just about any breed and find them

      • in jesus name i pray amen

please educate me — Im currently looking for a teacup chihuahua or teacup poodle to adopt and mate mine with to have puppies. If I can rescue one afterall, instead of paying $1200 for another one — HELL IM IN.

        • Duckyhoward15

I thought you left this website and got sad :(

      • Anna

That isn’t really possible unless it’s a common breed. More unique breeds are very hard to impossible to find in rescues. It isn’t a bad thing to buy from breeders. People that think it is are hypocrites because bred dogs need homes just as much as adopted.

        • luna

I agree that bred dogs need homes too. ALL dogs need homes. I just think if dogs weren’t bred so much then more dogs in shelters would have the opportunity to be saved. I just don’t see how it’s okay that dogs are continuously being bred when millions of healthy dogs die every year just because people don’t give them a chance. If so many innocent dogs weren’t dying then breeding would be okay to me. Unfortunately that isn’t the case.

          • Anna

I hope to adopt a dog when I get my own to be honest, but the sad thing is some breeders kill their dogs too for awful reasons. My parents have adopted a majority of their dogs from breeders, but we always make sure the dogs are treated well and not abused. But more dogs die due to abuse and neglect than people just not wanting them. Dogs that are killed for aggressiveness are usually raised to be that way and there isn’t much anyone can do. All I’m saying is those dogs that aren’t given a chance are the ones that are past saving because the people that originally owned them treated them in such a way that it ruined them. Breeders can be abusive but they typically take good care of their dogs. You can’t really blame breeders for all the awful pet owners in the world that destroy chances. That isn’t on them!

  • in jesus name i pray amen

While on the topic of PETA… I dont wear fur coats, but I sure as hell am not about to stop buying real leather jackets/clothes/shoes/purses etcetc — fashion talks, ppl walk bye.

    • cimbom

you dont get the difference between a furcoat and real leather stuff. a fur coat is made of animal fur and those animals are threatened to existence. leather is just a part from the skin of the dead animal and people use it after they got out the meat and we need meat dont we? but not meat from otters etc

      • in jesus name i pray amen

okay that makes sense… but I think your info on leather is wrong in some sense. I have these calf-skin leather shoes (baby cow) & lamb leather chanel bag (baby sheep) and I doubt they ‘died.’ They were probably killed for their skins, but like you said, they were probably killed for the meat industry (veal/etcetc) so the byproduct gets sold to designers/fabric houses. It’s sad, but quite frankly, im not willing to sacrifice….

I know Stella McCartney has a PVC ( polyvinyl chloride: fake leather pro-PETA) line, but not down for any of it…. PVC just doesnt age like real leather, nor is it as durable etcetc.

        • Tash

In terms of lamb, there is a big market for it within the Indian community. We don’t eat beef or pork. So we eat a lot of lamb. My dad buys a whole one every month. And there’s like a billion Indians. Most of which are in the Hindu religion and also follow the same dietary restrictions. So lamb get slaughtered on the regular. Here im South Africa were big on lamb too.

      • laura

lol leather and fur is the same, sweetheart.
They don’t use those animals for meat, at all.

        • cimbom

with meat i mean the meat from cows, pigs, chicken, lambs.

i meant to say that cruel hunter kill thousands of otters (example) and use it for fur coats, that’s illegal, i mean if they keep continue to do this we might see the otters only in zoos.

farmers breed farm-animals and when they use the meat, what should they do with the bones and the skin? easy, the skin is for our clothing and idk much about the bones but they use that mostly for the dogs. THATs a difference.

Idk much about PETA, but the animal organisations in my country are strict in those cases. There’s a reason why animal hunting from many species are illegal.

Centuries ago, when the human was evolving, they needed meat too to survive, so I don’t see a reason why we shouldn’t eat and/or use the rest of the animal for us. and to @injesusnameiprayamen:disqus thats what i meant, they are being killed.

And in my opinion, PETA is attacking Bieber because of how he treats the animals, not because he gets himself a pet. Remember the baby monkey months ago. I don’t blame them. Bieber is not a person who should be allowed to keep pets.

  • Anna

Okay PETA my family buys dogs from breeders does that make us bad people? Sorry it is stupid to act like that is a bad thing pets that are bred are animals that need loving homes too.

  • kirbs

Says the organization that “takes in” thousands of animals a year to be sentenced straight to euthanization.

  • Tash

Well I won’t bitch about where he’s getting it from. Many people don’t get them from shelters for many reasons. Like breeding etc. But when I saw him buying a new pet in general I was thinking oh crap, not another one! With his track record, no one should be selling or giving him any pets. To give a hamster to a random fan and it dies shortly after. Fans claim he couldn’t take care of it but he got a chimp not too long after, so thats a bullshit defense. Why get another pet if you couldn’t take care of the 1st one?? Dude just got bored and was cold! Case closed! Then that poor baby chimp was torn from the nurturing it needed and took from country to country until Mr All Mighty didnt even bother to provide paper work and ditched it in a foreign country. How cruel. He shouldn’t be given jack shit. A shelter animal is barely safe with this dude.

  • Tash

Don’t care if you’re shocked by what I say, but I don’t get the whole dog and cat rubbish. I say roll how China does it. Everything is food. Or it needs to serve some purpose. Yes ive been conditioned by society to not eat certain things and I’d be grossed out to do so. But that’s a social block we need to overcome. But I dont get why we found a purpose for a bunch of other things. But dogs went from being mans helper to mans little baby. Police dogs, thats great and to protect ones home is cool I guess. But those spoilt hand bag things are dumb. Find a purpose for them. Were human. We work. Why dont they?? Stop breeding, put them in zoos as rare or train them for shows. Anything! We all serve a purpose. We as humans are doing dumb shit by acting like one animal is more important or a ‘pet’ and others are not.

  • Nya

So now he can’t buy a dog ’cause he’s getitng attack, this is bullshit

  • boystan

peta is full of shit though
