Via Blind Gossip Is this young franchise actress racist or just insensitive and controlling? A small group of people was gathered for a private party. When a song by a popular black artist (now deceased) came on, the actress went on a rant. 'OMG! Seriously? Seriously?! What the f*ck is this? I don’t want to listen to this disgusting ghetto music! Change it now!'
The room went silent as the rest of the guests stared at her, and at each other, shocked that she would say such a thing. The song was changed, per her demand, and the actress went back to drinking and partying. She may be pretty, but she was also pretty controlling and pretty tone-deaf to the mix of people in the room.

Why does not wanting to listen to a song make you racist? I'm sure the singr's race had nothing to do with the fact that she didn't like the song.
Because she referred to the music as being ghetto. Personally I don't find it racist if it was referring to a rap artist, as rap artists do class their sound as being ghetto

I think its KStew now. She's into indie rock, so rap isn't really her thing, and she was spotted at Lautners party, which was a private affair. However I think she said it like a joke, but Kristen is very awkward so when she tells a joke you kinda have to think for a few minutes 'Is she serious?'

No one said calling CERTAIN rap music ghetto is racist. Almost all mainstream rap or "hip hop" is ghetto. If people did their research and go back to the 80s and 90s to listen to real hip hop, they wouldn't find it as bad IMO. Listen to the words, not just the beat.

Most 90's rap was very "ghetto" most of the rap artists back then were actually ex-gangers, or people that grew up around it. A few were the exception, but most of the rap of that era was stories and emotion built up on the streets. The rap of today is tame, PC bullshit that is just lame. Its commercialized to the point that it makes no real point anymore. Back in the day, most of teh rappers didn't have to go on an on how badd ass they were (they did, but that's besides the point) cause most of them were scary baddasses that carried guns, kicked it with gangbangers and lived the life they were rapping about. Snoop Dogg WAS a pimp, Ice Cube was a crip. They didn't play act at it, it was their life

There aren't many current rappers that actually class their "sound" as ghetto. That was more of a late 80's, early 90's thing. Which I suppose since the artist they are talking about is dead, could have been one of those artists. The story is so annoyingly vague!

There is nothing southern about it what so ever. People don't live on farms. It is a relatively large city with surrounding suburbs. People who live there do not have southern accents.
