Selena Gomez Dropping 'The Scene'!
Via WSJ: Selena Gomez told Speakeasy on new Wizards movie: 'I think this is it. I definitely think this is it.' Selena is now branching out from her longtime band the Scene. She recently completed a new music album and she plans to release it this summer and follow that with her first world tour. A spokesperson confirmed the new release won’t feature the Scene.
On dividing her time between family-friendly Disney fare and increasingly edgy movies and music: 'I don’t really feel divided. I’m just happy to do projects I’m passionate about. I’m definitely just trying to do the best I can. It’s fun for me to experiment.'
It was a pointless idea from the beginning.

besides, who gives a shit? She can't sing anyways, sorry but it's true. It's unfair to call her a singer when there are so many talented singers out there who do have a great voice but just don't get the exposure she receives.
Eh I think the band was given to her because she couldn't have anything else she wanted when it came to her first album but on the third she collaborated with them in the studio a lot. But they only get mentioned on live performances but I doubt she dropped them she performed with them just two months ago.
Their just back up anyway. She sounds a lot better acoustic though. Honestly she can sing she just wasn't properly trained to sing and perform. She also needs a lot of help on range. But she has decent tone. But her songs are nessarily that great or popular enough to need help. The only people that buy her music are fans , some might buy the singles only.
I'm thinking the band left her because she sucks and they finally realized it--amen to them.

at least now she wont be nominated for best band of the year again at some stupid award show haha that was so unfair and embarrassing to the actual talented bands.

Yep. She's only a "famous singer" and is only able to do tours because she was famous as an actress before her "band". If she hadn't done Wizards, obviously her CDs would be now in the garbage.
She's still such a Disney robot it's quite sad. Saying things only to please the general public and stay liked even though she's already not very respected.
This is why I respect Miley. She's real and she says and does what SHE Wants. She's a woman, not a little girl who accepts spankings from the judgmental GOSSIP SITES when they think she's done something "wrong".

So true. That's probably why she did it, cuz she knew she couldn't get to the top (not there yet) on her own.

I completely agree. She's not talented in the singing department in any way. She's not the worst singer, but if she didn't have Disney I doubt she would've ever been popular.
"The Scene" probably don't even care because they didn't even get attention half of the time, it was all about Selena.
Of course she doesn't need The Scene. They're an actual band, and she's all autotune. x
I hope The Scene starts making their own music and get bigger than Selena
Selena Gomez said she didn't want her name on the title though. She probably just wanted to be known as "The Scene" with the others. But HWR obvs wants her name everything.

I wish Selena would stop singing. I might say this 20 million times but she would be taken more seriously as an actress and adult if she gave up music.
The scene is just a name for her backup band . The play with different groups and performers when not touring. It's a job not a career for them. She just kept it because it was her original plan to be in a group. But I don't think it really matters because she says this is her last album/tour.
I bet these boys are high fiving eachother and doing shots. Toasting to thank god we got out of this so we don't have to play for this lame ass duck who can't fucking sing.
