Emma Watson Schooling Over Acting

Emma is in demand with Hollywood directors but has so much to focus on with her studies, that she has had to pass on a few things – she simply can’t do everything,” a source told the Daily Mirror. “It’s tough but she believes it was the right thing.” Watson initially enrolled at Brown university in Rhode Island back in 2010 but dropped out to film the last Harry Potter film ‘Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2′.

She then transferred to Oxford University in 2011 but had to drop out again when she was cast in ‘The Perks Of Being A Wallflower’. Watson returned to Brown University at the beginning of this year, and is now in her last year of her English degree and is busy revising for her exams. She will graduate May 2014. Her latest film ‘Noah’ in which she plays Noah’s adopted daughter Ila, is due out in cinemas at the end of March but it is unsure whether or not Watson will participate in the promotional tour for the movie due to her impending exams.

Way to be a good role model, Emma!

I like Emma but I don’t understand why she would be in high demand. With the exception of the Harry Potter series, not of her films have really been blockbusters. Most barely made back the money it cost to make them.

    • Queen Amanda Bynes

because she is an amazing actress! and you cant not count harry potter, it is the most succesful franchise ever made and the movie alone have made 8 billion dollars, plus dvds, merch, and they even have there own section in amusement parks lol!

journalists say things that aren’t true to sound good

  • Em

Actually, it does have to be a blockbuster to succeed. I mean, actually, people who play in blockbusters aren’t even that demanded because it is more about action and workout than feeling. Plus, Perks did pretty well, considering it wasn’t a full release. She didn’t have a main role in Marilyn, so we can’t say anything about it. And Noah is highly anticipated.

Good for her that’s awesome. She’s so gorgeous.

  • Queen Amanda Bynes

I love Emma ,she is a great actress but took time to go to school, usually the child stars who don’t go to college end up kinda messed up.

no offensive to my favs but Lindsay, Amanda, Miley, Demi have all had stumbles,i wonder if its because they never got a chance to be normal.

Education is more important than entertainment. I am glad she made the right choice to pursue her dreams of finishing college, no matter how hard it is to juggle her other dream. She is, indeed, a great role model.

she should have not done ‘Noah’ too

  • Yellow-Plum

I’m glad that she has decided to finished her degree. I mean if she didn’t, her education will always be there in the background, floating around. At least this way, she can finish her education and then take on any role she wants without any interruptions.

Lucky girl to have made enough money from Harry potter to be able to choose whatever she wants to do! Wish life was that easy for the rest of us!

    • Alz

But she started from the bottom! Life CAN be that easy for the rest of us, you just have to do what you love;)

  • boystan

going to college whe you’re a celeb its really hard. and just because you go to college doesnt mean you automatically have a degree. there’s so many hours that you have to sacrifice and a lot of hard work is required to pull up your grades and not to mention the assistance.

mary kate didnt even finish her psychology degree unlike many people think. she just went for a few semesters and didnt even finish.
im glad she’s taking time to go back to school.
