Miley Cyrus revealed that much of her tour design is by Ren & Stimpy creator John Kricfalusi, 58: ‘I just want it to be something that is worth going to see.’ A key element of the Bangerz set is one of the largest TV screens ever assembled on stage, inspired by Madonna’s recent tours.
‘I just want it to be something that is worth going to see. That’s something I’ve actually had to fight for a little bit. It isn’t the easiest thing to travel with in the space that we’re using. The set will imaginative animals he’s made on his own.
I am giving lots of junk away. I want to give fans real things to collect. I want people to walk away saying: ‘OK she did some things that were crazy, but at the end of the day, it was really about her voice.’
John’s art is driving a lot of the tour. It will include kitties in space. Imaginative, not real. I’m a little bit of a hoarder. So I hope my fans become hoarders. & I want to give them real things they can collect. I’ll have things falling out of the sky that most people would sell at the merch table.’
