Many Directioner’s are upset because of Zayn Malik’s lack of scenes in One Direction’s Memories Music video. Zayn has a total of 11 seconds of solo air time in the three minute 21 second long video for Midnight Memories, as opposed to Louis Tomlinson, who has more than double that amount, reports The Mirror.
Directioners angry Tweets ‘ZAYN DOESN’T HAVE A SOLO, THUS HE DOESN’T HAVE AS MUCH SCREEN TIME AS THE OTHER BOYS. I CALL THIS UNFAIR AND UTTERLY RIDICULOUS.’ Zayn had about 10 seconds of screen time for mm music video, I’m not happy.’
As usual Zayn got the least amount of screen time and I’m not pleased.’ ‘Zayn got, like, zero screen time, like, wtf?’ Source: ‘The rest of the boys sing solos in the track, so obviously they feature on their own in the video a bit more.
But it’s weird that in a lot of the group shots, like on the police boat, Zayn’s back is turned. Otherwise, he’s almost always lurking out of shot, except when all five of the boys are on screen. It reflects how quiet he always is in interviews with the others, too.’
Either way the Where We Are Tour is set to make over $1 billion in 12 months!
One Direction have been predicted to become the most successful band in the world with earnings of a billion dollars a year. It is estimated the band will earn the record £611 million amount during their upcoming Where We Are tour with 88 shows.
They will become the first act to perform three consecutive nights at the 95,000-seat Rose Bowl stadium in California. A spokesman for the band told the Daily Star: ‘It would be amazing for 1D to climb to the very top of the tour league so early in their career. That would be a phenomenal testament to the loyalty and support of their fans.’
Music industry insider Mory Brenner added: ‘You have to go back to 1964, when The Beatles led the British Invasion that turned American’s music industry upside down, to find anything close to the following they have.’
