It was trending for a while… thought it was ABC for some reason….

  • uest

    I’m so excited!!

  • kelly

    That was shit.
I hate the new disney channel and the stupid acting and stupid over the top outfits.
Back in the original BMW no one wore ten lbs of makeup and girls didn’t dress like they were 20.
    My god that was bad.

    • Queen Amanda Bynes

In their defense girls in middle school today do wear make up and dress older than they are, especially in 7th and 8th grade.

At least that’s how it was at my middle school lol.

      • threelittlebirds

wasn’t so much for me. but then again i was in middle school like 10 years ago

        • Zaina777

Same with me. I was there like seven years ago also and it was normal.

        • Queen Amanda Bynes

Maybe these show influence people , because I was there almost 3 years ago and EVERY girl caked her face with makeup. It’s toned down a bit in high school , but some still go overboard.

          • Zaina777

It does. When I was in elementary school or middle school I always felt an innocence about it. Now it’s like the complete opposite it’s actually really strange.

          • Queen Amanda Bynes

I know what you mean, and everyone instantly changes too. It’s somewhat scary.

          • threelittlebirds

even some girls in my high school didn’t wear a lot of make up..must be this newer generation

          • Zaina777

It is. Kids nowadays are so different than before.

          • threelittlebirds

i can only imagine what it’s gonna be like when i have kids. they’ll be wearing make-up in pre-school

          • Queen Amanda Bynes

Might be, you can thank the kardashians lol

          • threelittlebirds

lol. i weep for humanity if these younger girls are looking up to the kardashians.

          • Marina And My Diamonds

Smh the Kardashians.. If I roll my eyes any further they’re going to roll straight out of my head.

Weep for this generation. I think this is what parents went through when they saw their generation turning into ours.

  • Queen Amanda Bynes

Surprised because this looks good. I’m excited to see it!

  • http://instagram.com/foreverjordan thesestrangelittlethings

    I wish this wasn’t happening.

    • Marina And My Diamonds

I wish it wasn’t happening on Disney.

      • threelittlebirds

yes. it would have been better off on abc family. disney is gonna make it too babyish.

        • uest

Girl Meets World has the original producers and writers on the show. The show is in good hands

      • http://instagram.com/foreverjordan thesestrangelittlethings

Especially on Disney. It’s been said before, but Disney isn’t the same as it was before. Any network would’ve been better.

        • uest

The original producers an writers from BMW are working on the show. I’ve read good things from people’s experiences from attending live tapings.

I feel like this show is what Disney needs right now to turn everything around.

          • Marina And My Diamonds

That’s good to know, I feel a bit better about it.

  • Marina And My Diamonds

It’s not suppose to look like this.. Not so Disney’d up. NOOOOO. I’m still nervous but I really want to see this and I want it to succeed.

    • Marina And My Diamonds

It’s just a clip I might be surprised. My Brother said a piece of him just died. Lawd.

      • Zaina777

        How old is your brother?

        • Marina And My Diamonds

          18

      • Zaina777

Wait, for my comment I think you’ll like it.

        • Marina And My Diamonds

          Ok :)

          • Zaina777

            How old are you?

          • Marina And My Diamonds

            23 in a half.

          • Zaina777

Really, I thought you were a teenager. Then again you are one of the only ones on here who have common sense.

          • Marina And My Diamonds

Hahhaa thank you. I get that same response in real life too. How old are you?

          • Zaina777

            I’m twenty.

          • Marina And My Diamonds

Ah almost had it! Thought you were 21. :) Cool.

          • Zaina777

No. I’m twenty. Do you go to school?

          • Marina And My Diamonds
  • Abop

Disney is always trying to jump to a new tv show one after the other, if they just air some old shows from the early on, and just sat down and full planed out a good show things would be good.

  • Zaina777

I have this feeling that it is going to your stereotypical girl show.

    Girl goes to school
Girl and best friend bond and/or have a fight.
Girl “( once again might I add) meets cute popular boy”
Girl, yet again seeks werid attempts to woo the boy.
Boy, finally gives in and says either
    a) something intrductory to start the relationship
    b) Says he liked her but she was too cute to talk too. ( even though other cute girls were around him forever and he was fine talking to them everyday normally.
Girl, gets all nervous and awkward. I mean she can’t be normal and sane, right?

    ” Meeting the Parents”

Girl, thinking the boy was good enough for her decides to get him to meet her parents Cory and Topanga.

    Here’s how it would go:
Cory would reminisce about how he was as a young boy and Topanga would say to him be mean to the boy to show him that he can’t hurt their little girl.
Boy is scared and possibly leaves.
Girl, gets mad at her parents for not being nice to the boy.
    Parents learn their lesson.
Parent’s apologize to their daughter saying that boy will always be boys but girl says.” Not him, he’s different”.

They all invite the boy over for a re-do dinner or get together.

Boy is hesitant at first but gives into the girl’s sweet and understandable request.

Boy, goes over to girls hows for dinner once again to have a redo dinner.

Cory, struggles with his niceness towards the boy and later the he and Topanga realize that their little girl ( who is only twelve) is growing up.

Basically, this show is probably going to be another typical, unrealistic teeanage show about how the quirky, main girl gets everything including dare I say cute popular boy…

Boy Meets World was actually realistic. He started off younger. He didn’t like girls till the 9th grade. He only really liked one girl. Even though he cheated on her it became relastic because he learned to appreciate the man girl forever. His advisor was someone realistic and someone who also advised his friends as well not just the main character. His parent weren’t weird and immature like they are on Disney.

We saw little Cory Matthews become the man he was destined to become because no one said that he couldn’t they said that he could and that was the lesson learned in Boy Meets World.

Also, the show wasn’t only about Cory Matthews. It was about Cory, Topanga, Shawn, Angela and their siblings and their other friends. That is a realistic show. That is what kids these days should be seeing. Not this nonsense that they put on Disney or Nick nowadays.

    • Marina And My Diamonds

      Tears. Leave me alone!

    • Marina And My Diamonds
    • Marina And My Diamonds

Too damn right for my emotions right now.

    • Marina And My Diamonds

Apparently her crush is suppose to be someone named Lucas so you sound about right.

They’re trying to bring back that good fulfilment that shows use to have, Boy Meets World taught you so much and it didn’t try to pressure it onto you. It was just life. TV may never be like that again. Too much innuendo of sex, girls not dressing their age, everything is wrong.

This show should not be on Disney. When Boy Meets World was out they use to take the “too real for tv” moments out and most people didn’t see all the episodes until ABC Family had it under their contract or bought the DVDs. I’m going to give it a chance though, I want to be proven wrong.

      • Zaina777

The too real for tv moments were what made it a real show.

        • Marina And My Diamonds

Exactly, I agree but it seems they didn’t get that. They probably still don’t.

          • Zaina777

When you say they are you reffering to Disney?

          • Marina And My Diamonds

            Yep.

          • Zaina777

Yeah, something that really annoys me as well is the lack of character development in the right ways.

            For Example:
Why can’t the girl like the nerdy boy before the end of the show?

Instead of focusing on their stupid little antics in the show I think that they should focus on the storylines and the character delevopment.

          • Marina And My Diamonds

Yes, character development, like with Shawn. He wasn’t as rich and put together as Cory and his family. He had to learn to love, learn to be better than his environment, learn to accept love.
Another is Topanga lol she was crazy when she first came into the show. She even had moments where she wasn’t sure about life, wasn’t sure about her and Cory. That’s real. No joke Topanga was the first white girl I related to, first white girl that had body and didn’t look like the other girls on TV. I didn’t feel bad watching her on my TV every weekend. Real.

I agree why can’t the boy she falls for be the ‘so called’ nerd? Why can’t the popular boy be nerdy? Why does he always have to play a sport? OR his looks be the main objective for his popularity like in every teen show.

          • Zaina777

Yeah, Topanga was pretty but you had to look past her weirdness to find it. It was refreshing and nice. I liked it.

I know and then the girl somehow brings the boy back down to earth. That’s not realistic at all.

Another thing, why aren’t their any asian people in these shows aside from London Tipton. Also, why isn’t their a main Asian character in general. Not dumb…just normal. People always complain about the lack of blacks in shows but what about the lack of Asians in shows.

          • Marina And My Diamonds

The asian kid is always smart – knows math, the black kid appears only to shout a joke, the hispanic kid is usually only around in spanish class.. If they have it. It’s the stereotypical casting.

I like variety, and I wouldn’t mind if these shows (all of them) added more races. I’ve been on this earth for almost 24 years, it would be great to see some change especially in this time of day where everything is ‘suppose’ to be about equality.

          • threelittlebirds

don’t forget the dumb, blonde cheerleader or the jocks who bully the nerds.

          • Zaina777

The dumb blond in general. The only Blonde that was actually really smart that I can actually remember was Maddie Fitzpatrick from the suite life

          • threelittlebirds

lizzie mcguire was kinda smart. (not that she was dumb either) but i’m also talking about your typical teen movie in general.

          • Marina And My Diamonds

Aw Lizzie (good memories) she was relatable in a sense. She should have taken up for herself a bit more but she wasn’t (THAT) dumb. But again the show had a lot of typical moments. Like her crush for example was dumb as bricks but she kept going after him when her ideal boy was her best friend the whole time.

          • Zaina777

Oh, true Lizzie Mcguire was smart. I agree completely.

Speaking of that show. I liked didn’t get with the cute popular boy and even though he was dumb he still rejected her and saw her as a friend. They never really forced us as viewers ro feel sympathy for her throughout the show. Also, when Gordo finally got her it wasn’t because she felt bad for him or it wasn’t because he was desprately flirting with her blatantly in an attempt to woo her. It was because she realized that the perfect guy was right in front of her the whole time and she realized that she felt the exact same way about him that he felt about her.
It was very realistic to me.

          • threelittlebirds

it was. the show was very relatable.

          • Marina And My Diamonds

Yes! My question everytime I see that is: “Does that even happen in real life? Because I’ve never seen it.” What school did these writers go to? Messy.

          • threelittlebirds

i know! i watch movies like that, and i’m like no one actually is like that.

          • Zaina777

I remember when Mean Girls came out. I was kinda terrified to go into high school. They made it a lot more stereotypical and fake than it was.

          • threelittlebirds

it’s hard to believe mean girls came out 10 years ago. i feel so old.

          • Marina And My Diamonds

            Damn that’s a long time.

          • Marina And My Diamonds

            I loved Mean Girls.

          • Zaina777

Oh my lord. I know. I don’t even understand that at all. I never understood why they thought it was like that.

          • Zaina777

Thank you. In all of these shows if the black person has a conflict it’s always dealt with quickly whether it’s a full episode or a side plot. They are usually their for the humour affect of things.

          • Marina And My Diamonds

I’m glad the writers and the casting people think we’re funny but shockerrr! We can be more than funny and angry.

          • Zaina777

I know right. Maybe racists should watch Disney and Nick to get how we really are, right?

Both of those stereotypes are ignorant.

  • threelittlebirds

is there gonna be any of the other cast, like shawn or cory’s family? or is it just based on cory and topanga’s life?

    • Mackintosh

That I know of so far, Shawn, Mr. Matthews, and Mrs. Matthews and Josh make guest appearances in the season.

    • Zaina777

Shawn and Cory’s parents are going to make guest appearences from what I hear.

  • lol

    she looks nothing like them.
and the blonde looks like those girls that you just wanna punch.

  • stasha

If they wanted to do it right, they should’ve toned down the obnoxious colors and made their home seem more realistic, like the original. I can tell the “comedy” is going to be disney channel comedy. And that sucks. Because that’s not how the original was at all. This just sucks in general. The only thing holding this show down are cory and topanga.
