Zendaya KC Undercover Disney Show!

kc-undercoverZendaya Coleman is returning to Disney Channel to lead the cast of the new family comedy K.C. Undercover, reports TV Guide. In the series, set to premiere in early 2015, she stars as K.C. Cooper, a high school student training to follow in her parents’ footsteps as an undercover spy.

Kadeem Hardison and Tammy Townsend play her parents, Craig and Kira Cooper. The show also features Kamil McFadden and Veronica Dunne. Production begins this summer; Zendaya will also receive a co-producer title on the show.

Each episode of K.C. Family, friendship, humor and heart from the point of view of an incredibly talented and relatable teenage girl.’

I feel like I’ve seen that same plot before on a Disney show.

  • Kylie

    Oh, give me a break.

  • threelittlebirds

it sounds a little bit like spy kids.

    • Cali

It sounds kind of like hannah montana to me, a girl living a double life. At least that’s what I thought of.

  • Jared

…So, it’s just basically a Spy Kids and Kim Possible mash-up. Can you do original things any more, Disney Channel? For the good shows you used to have that raged with originality, like “That’s So Raven” and “Even Stevens” and even “Phil of the Future,” it’s kind of disappointing to see.

  • Jes

She has so much potential and she keeps doing stuff like this

  • laura

This sounds like shit but I am proud of them for having another black family on Disney again. That’s good.

    • Cali

Yeah but nothing comes close to raven. As a black person, the more recent black characters have been embarrassing the heck out of me. They need a major overall on these shows

      • laura

That is true, Raven’s dad was the sassiest character ever! And Raven was just drop dead gorgeous and incredibly relatable.
I just hope they won’t make her parents these dumb clumsy spies you sometime see in movies, that’d be pretty sad.

Zendaya’s half black and white, so I’m pretty irked Disney couldn’t portray this kind of family relationship. Having another black family’s great, but they couldn’t go a little further?

    • DisneyIsJustToLazy

The mom looks like she is mixed so zenday can get her genes from her mother side…..But, your right disney is taking the easy and safe way out than having an interracial couple. Also they would have to right a story line about her parents relationship which may be difficult for then to explain and they might not wanted to get into a serious topic. .

      • http://instagram.com/foreverjordan thesestrangelittlethings

Yeah, the mom does looked mixed, but ugh… I just wished they could go the extra mile. I feel creating a storyline for it like you stated would be beneficial for the show. Not that I’m ever going to watch the show, but I’m mixed also and just would like to see some diversity that I can relate too :P

  • Dwayne and Whitley Fan

Happy to see kadeem hardison….I love the show “A different world’… I watched it last year for the first time.

  • uest

Wasn’t that the point of JONAS at first?

  • in jesus name i pray amen

But do we need another Disney TV show with Zendaya?! jesus girl, youre better than this tbh.

  • Cali

Disney channel should just gracefully bow out if they can’t come up with more original shows. They haven’t been good since 2007.This is just getting embarrassing.
