‘Miley Tour Is Porn Dressed Up As Pop’

MMiley Cyrus IS a porn star, reports The Mirror. Do YOU agree?

Miley Cyrus tour is porn dressed up as pop and I don’t want my children witnessing it. Mirror columnist and mother-of-three says like it or not, and Miley doesn’t, the audience is teenage and pre-pubescent girls, and that is her sole objection

So well done Miley Cyrus you’ve achieved your ambition, a sell-out arena tour and enough outraged reaction to keep your publicity pumping until the next album release. Of course, I appreciate I’m simply climbing aboard Miley’s self-promotion juggernaut by publicly denouncing her foul-mouthed soft porn display masquerading as a live show at London’s O2 on Tuesday night.

But if the alternative is to mutely accept her behaviour as suitable for young kids, there seems little option. Because how much more of this tedious swearing and sex laden cavorting are we as parents expected to endure without raising an objection?

UPDATE: This Mirror article supports Miley! ‘She’s asserting her power’.

Without pulling up the drawbridge to protect what little innocence remains in our children’s lives?

Without drawing a line, somewhere, anywhere, about what we will have them exposed to?

Within the first 20 seconds of her gig in front of kids as young as six Miley had said the word ‘motherf***ers’ four times.

Then, during a cover version of Jolene, originally recorded by her godmother Dolly Parton, she dropped in the C-word.

Ain’t she the cool girl?

Well no, not really. In fact she couldn’t be further from cool.

The harsh reality of Miley is that she is a desperate, over-indulged, super-controlled, narcisstic Hollywood rich-kid who’ll say anything, sell anything (including herself) and wear anything (or not) for a scrap of attention.

Without even starting on the argument that swearing in front of children is a vile self-indulgence, the first issue is Miley isn’t even very good at it.

She handles it with the same self-conscious awkwardness that a teenage boy first tries kissing. All show and swagger but not a lot of skill.

At the O2 she told fans – the bulk of whom were in their teens – “This is Europe. Y’all can say c*** here.”

GettyRaunchy: Performing live on stage at the 02 Arena
Well, you can Miley , but generally only the most vile of people do.

Because it offends and demeans both those that say it and those that hear it. And in the impressionable minds of young children, from the lips of a role model, it becomes something to copy.

And so they too are demeaned.

I’ve got a lexicon of swear words that could make Baptist-born Miley’s hair curl. But I don’t use them in front of my children.

Parents who want their kids to grow up showing respect as reasonable members of society don’t do that.

And they certainly don’t want to pay good money for others to do it.

But Miley isn’t interested in what other people find acceptable.

Her craving to shock continued on Tuesday evening when said: “I’m sure you guys smell of alcohol and you’ve been smoking weed and you’ve been taking tons of pills,” and told her young fans that smoking weed “won’t kill you”.

How dare this know-nothing fool tell other people’s impressionable children about the dangers of drugs?

If the people she were addressing were in their late teens I wouldn’t be remotely concerned.

By then they would be old enough to have talked about drugs at home and school and be forming their own opinions.

But kids below the age of 14 are like sponges. They hear stuff, particularly from someone who appears rich and successful, and take it as a blueprint for life.

One father leaving the arena was heard telling his 11 year-old daughter that Miley Cyrus had been ‘putting on a show’ like a pantomime and that she says her lines but they’re not true.

Well it was certainly a pantomime – although the only person laughing was Miley.

But what worries me most about Miley Cyrus isn’t what she says – it is what she doesn’t say.

It is the subliminal messages she sends out to all those young girls simply by performing a sex show and calling it entertainment.

By telling young girls that the road to stardom and success is to flaunt their bodies, to gyrate and conform to whatever sexual fantasies turn a man on.

Oh, she claims to be a post modern feminist, reclaiming sexuality for women, reclaiming the language of sex, evidently even the c*** word.

And she muses that it must be ‘sexist’ that she gets flak for her sexually charged performances when male rappers don’t.

But they don’t share a fan base with CBBC.

Because like it or not – and she doesn’t – her hardcore audience are teenage and pre-pubescent girls. And that is my sole objection.

If her audience were older she could do what the hell she likes.

Miley Cyrus first became a global star as smiley Disney girl Hannah Montana. But she has spent every moment since trying to eradicate that memory from the world’s mind.

And ever since she swapped those denim dungarees for a dental floss leotard, she has tried to rid herself of her the fans that once adored her.

Although despite her efforts singalong hits like We Can’t Stop and Wrecking Ball seem to have only grown her young audience.

And while Miley loves her fans for the money they earn her, she loathes them for the credibility they deny her.

She’s had tattoos, sworn, simulated sex with an inflatable dog and a Bill Clinton lookalike, swung naked from a wrecking ball and smoked weed on stage, all in a desperate bid to shake off these young fans.

But they’re hanging on like limpets.

So on Tuesday she was back at it again, this time seemingly trying to shove dollar notes up her backside, appearing to masturbate on a car bonnet and sticking her bottom out to the crowd in the tiniest of leotards.

This is a woman literally telling her crowds to kiss her ass. And still they love her.

She sees herself in the mould of other music artists who have shocked and succeeded – like Madonna and The Sex Pistols.

But these were stars appealing to kids in their mid to late teens desperate to rebel and escape the suffocation of childhood.

Their fans were on the precipice of adulthood and defining themselves through subversive music.

Miley Cyrus’ fans still need help crossing the road.

On Monday I endured my three kids performing ‘a show’ on a trampoline, the grand finale of which was the four-year-old barrelling into the others singing Wrecking Ball.

He is four years old. He is not cool. But he likes Miley Cyrus.

I certainly wouldn’t consider taking either him or his elder siblings, aged seven and nine anywhere near a Miley Cyrus concert.

I’m surprised any parents who has seen one of her music videos or watched her twerking at awards shows and generally making a spectacle of herself would do so.

I don’t want my daughter witnessing this porn dressed up as pop until she absolutely has to.

I don’t want her worrying this is how she should dress and act to be successful. And I don’t want my sons thinking this is how women should act to please them.

Miley says chief among her ‘haters’ are the shrewish, screwed up band of which I am a member – mothers.

But I don’t hate Miley at all – I quite like her music, just dislike her ‘act’.

And I feel sorry for her too. There is nothing ground-breaking or edgy about what she is doing.

She has simply joined the oldest profession in the world – selling sex to make money.

And I’m not buying it.

    please do playboy :D

    • reina

Playboy would be too tasteful for her. She’s more suited for the hard-core porn industry and those magazines at this point.

  • http://oceanup.com OCEANUP

if nick doesn’t marry olivia soon he and miley will be perfect again in a couple of years after she stops the ‘porn’

    • Mirela

      Get over Niley. My goodness.

  • laura

What a drama queen, I am pretty sure parents won’t let their young kids go to their show. If they do, it says more about the parents than it does about Miley. She said so herself she wouldn’t be complaining if it were any other female artist: let your young children listen to Hannah Montana and let the older ones listen to Miley, simple as that.
That woman seriously shouldn’t be getting her panties in a wad like that.

    • M.O

Exactly my friends (who are sixteen) went to this show and said that they were the youngest there.

      • laura

Yeah like my sister she’s 15 (she’ll be 16 in July) and I’ll be taking her in June and I am pretty sure she’ll be the youngest too.

      • thecat61

Ikr. There were no little kids at the show that I went to. There were older couples, hell I even saw older ladies that could’ve been grandma’s.

  • threelittlebirds

I highly doubt there’s kids as young as 6 there. If they watched HM, which ended 3 years ago, they would’ve been 3 or younger. But anyways what do parents expect? She’s 21 and been out of Disney for a few years. Don’t parents know anything about her recent behavior? I’m sick of them trying to play the pity card. It’s not Miley’s fault you let your kids go to her concert. Here’s a tip: BE A PARENT and decide what’s best for YOUR child, NOT miley.

  • anonymous

back to reality the real problem is the drugs and the kissing so many people. and cheyne. and her mom and dad. and her weird other relatives

    • Matt

Is that all? I bet she’s having sex with about as many people she’s kissing. That and the drinking/partying are 2 more to add to the ever growing list.

      • Lena

Yeahhh because a 21 year old woman cannot have sex with who she wants to nor she can do the things that make her happy.

        • anonymous

she can at a cost. same with everyone else

      • anonymous

i’d like to focus on what we can see not what we can imagine

  • Lena

Blah blah blah if you don’t want your kids to go to her concert don’t let them and don’t pay for it. Parents nowadays are so afraid to say no to their children they need to blame their kids mistakes on 21 year old women.

  • thecat61

So sick of hearing this bullshit. If these parents don’t know by now what her show’s all about then that’s their problem and not Miley’s. Stop putting the blame on someone else and be a responsible parent.

“Never have I seen a star so delighted or comfortable on stage.” — Telegraph UK review.

  • smb

To solve the perceived problem with this concert is simple. DON’T TAKE YOUR KIDS. See, problem solved. Miley gave everyone a preview of her concert well before actually embarking on it. So why are parents complaining. Sounds like it’s the parents that need to grow up and take responsibility, not Miley.

    • Lily

Exactly. What where they expecting? Hannah Montana?

      • thecat61

Probably. They’re still stuck in that reality world.

  • thecat61

    Nobody controls Miley but Miley.

“Everything she’s doing is self-engineered, from her decision to ‘put her body on display’ to her new look, and she thinks it’s impressive because people rarely stick to their guns in the music world: “She’s owning it and it definitely comes from her. She’s rebelling. I love her. If you wanna put your body on display like that, it’s absolutely fine. It’s when somebody else tells you that you need to do that in order to sell your product that’s offensive. ” — Lilly Allen.

  • Hollyhysteria

    So sick of her..

  • Tash

    Soft core ….

  • Marina And My Diamonds

I see that most comments aimed to blame the parents, which I agree in a sense since Miley has made it known KIDS DO NOT BELONG AT HER SHOWS. You’re an idiot of a parent to take your kids then get mad at what you see. You’re not living under a rock, you know fully well what the new Miley has been up to.

On another note she needs to stop. Miley’s family, friends and fans (that think they know her) are celebrating this behaviour. She has set us back and I believe she truly think she’s helping woman, ‘taking us to the next level’ and someone needs to tell her, someone close, that she’s not. Her family can’t seem to keep up with the lie she’s become. First this was an act (as Miley said herself) now this is “who she is.”

  • MileyIsTrashAndYouKnowIt

There is no excuses even if she was 41.
The “she’s 21″ excuse is about as sane as saying “she’s 18 legal age to murder and be tried as an adult”.

You “fans” love this porn star. That is all. You are addicted to shit. You know nothing better because this hillbilly trailer trash prostitute has brain washed your mind into thinking she is a real legend “artist”. Lol i feel bad for you if you actually accept trash as and eating too.

    • thecat61

Why don’t you tell us how you really feel!!!

  • Tash

Listen, kids have been into rap & heavy metal for ages. Just because it isn’t as mainstream, doesn’t mean it isn’t reaching your kids & isn’t just as influential or more so(given that it is often very respected genres). There are artists out there who openly promote & TELL their listeners to go out & commit crimes & partake in destructive behavior. Let’s also be real about mainstream music too. The majority of those on top promote, sex, drug/substance use & questionable behavior. It’s often what listeners want & the industry as well as the public don’t appreciate, take seriously or want to support the Disney stars or those who promote responsible behavior. That being said, it’s ridiculous to act as if Miley is satan & single her out. As well as, I believe you reap what you sow. You wanted it, you refused to acknowledge her or give get credit otherwise, so she gave you what you asked for. She however did it on her own terms & bigger than anyone could have predicted. Now she has you where she wants you. Don’t act surprised. If you’re gonna complain if she’s good or bad, what’s the point?? There is none. Take a seat.

  • Sara

I can’t feel sorry for people like this. What did this woman expect?

  • DJ

    How is this legal? Seriously?

  • shanghai

She is just a Mom would you let your kids watch that performance. Unfortunately kids still like her and I have heard little kids singing her songs. Cannot stop them from hearing her and singing the songs without knowing they are totally inappropriate for them. But now its definately just porn and surely there are some guidelines or rules for this type of performance in public.

  • shanghai

Someone needs to stop her now for her own sake!!! People are just laughing at her! This is definitely porn not music not art.

  • TrueSmiler

No matter the age of the people in the audience, the question is what kind of show she does.

Is a porn pathetic mediocre concert, isn’t a musical concert.

    Just the truth.

There are people who like and pay to see this kind of show, and that’s ok.

But do not speak it is a great show of a singer, why is not, this show is anything but music.

Today Miley is a porn joke, not a singer.

    Just the sad truth.

  • TrueSmiler

I think funny these people, especially artists who defend Miley currently, like Lily Allen.

Such a defense is basically “she’s in control, if she wants to be a retarded artist I admire she for your courage”.

Nobody talks about her musical quality, just about his “courage”, “rebellious attitude”.

If they like what she does, why they do not do something similar? Like show her tongue all the time like a retarded?

This is one of her amazing rebellious attitudes? She is so rebel.

She is just a pathetic slut.

    Just the truth.

  • Eva

    Meh.
