Cara Delevingne has been named the new face of cosmetic brand Rimmel London. The actress and model joins Kate Moss as an ambassador for the company. Cara’s first campaign is set to come out later this year.
“She will be starring in campaigns for new launches, for new innovation, for everything that encompasses being a full front ambassador–TV, print, online, etc,” Chief Marketing Officer Johanna Businelli says. “Things that lead us to showcasing the Rimmel, ‘get the London look’ beauty, personality and attitude.”
Cara remembers watching advertisements for Rimmel featuring Kate. “I was very much a tomboy growing up so I never really wore makeup but I was always fascinated by how edgy and captivating the brand and its ambassadors were,” she says. “The brand philosophy and core brand identity is in line with my own style and attitude. I am proud to be English and jumped at the opportunity to collaborate with such an iconic English brand.”
The model will take part in a global Snapchat conference tomorrow as her first digital initiative for the brand. Cara will answer fan-submitted questions during the event.
