Lauren Jauregui is rarely shy about speaking out about politics. The Fifth Harmony singer’s latest commentary comes after the news of the death of Fidel Castro, the Cuban revolutionary who ruled the country for roughly 50 years. Lauren, who’s proud of her Cuban-American heritage, shared her excitement at Fidel’s death via Instagram.
“THE COCKROACH DIED,” Lauren wrote in Spanish after Fidel’s death on Friday. “I know my grannies are dancing at the party in the sky.”
Lauren isn’t the only member of Fifth Harmony with Cuban roots, though. Camila Cabello, who’s written at length about her Cuban background, also shared a reaction to her news about the death of Fidel. Hers was a much more tame.
“I have a heart full of hope for CUBA,” Camila wrote.
