To say the 59th Annual Grammy Awards went off without a hitch would be an alternative fact. The award show included performances from Beyoncé and Lady Gaga with the latter suffering through some sound issues. When artists weren’t struggling through their sets, awards were being given out to everyone but Rihanna and Justin Bieber.
The “Love on the Brain” singer was nominated for eight awards, but left Sunday night’s ceremony with nothing but the flask she brought with her. Both Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande had the right idea by skipping out on Sunday night’s show, both walking away with nothing to show for music’s biggest night.
The two singers were collectively nominated for six awards, but were shut out after Adele snatched every award in the pop categories. Justin’s “Purpose” was also up against Adele and Beyoncé for “Album of the Year,” but was pretty much dead on arrival when the nominations were made.

Were Rihanna and Justin’s snubs justified?
