Teen Vogue Cover Girl Bella Hadid On The Weeknd: “I’ll Always Love Him”

Bella hadid for Teen Vogue-2Bella Hadid has landed one of Teen Vogue‘s covers for its Love Issue, and the model is opening up about her heartbreak. Sharing the magazine cover duties with her best friend Jessie Jo Stark, Bella revealed her worst breakup and it had absolutely nothing to do with The Weeknd.

“I rotated between a few horses that could jump higher or whatever. But Lego was my main, my ride or die,” the model says. Before being diagnosed with Lyme Disease, Bella planned on competing in the 2016 Olympics. Unfortunately the illness put a screeching halt to those dreams forcing the model to give up her horse, Lego. “When I had to sell him, it was like a breakup! I was really traumatized,” she explains.

Just because letting go of Lego was the worst breakup for Bella, that doesn’t mean she wasn’t just as sad when she and The Weeknd called it quits. “It’ll be hard for a while. Love hurts, but you have to pull through,” she says on their split. Bella’s ex is getting over his heartache with the help of Selena Gomez.

The model has an optimistic outlook on their relationship now compared to when she accused Selena of breaking girl code. “Sometimes you want to be sad about it or handle it differently, but at the end of the day, you never want to burn a bridge that you’ve fought so hard to build,” she claims.
