What To Expect From The 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards

What To Expect From The 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards featureThe iHeartRadio Music Awards will air live this Sunday, and the list of performers and presenters has just been announced. The list of nominees was announced last month, with Drake leading the nomination count at 12 and The Chainsmokers following up with 11. Performers include Ed Sheeran and Katy Perry, both of whom recently performed at the BRIT Awards, and Shawn Mendes, Thomas Rhett, Noah Cyrus and Big Sean.

There are a talented bunch of award presenters as well, including Miley Cyrus, John Legend, Joe Jonas, Jason Derulo, Ansel Elgort and Daya. Coming off the Bee Gees tribute at the Grammy Awards, Demi Lovato will be presenting as well. Kelsea Ballerini, Macklemore, Florida Georgia Line, Halsey and Karrueche Tran are also on deck.

Bruno Mars is to be honored with the 2017 Innovator Award, an award iHeartRadio has been handing out since 2014 to recipients that include Pharrell Williams, Justin Timberlake and U2.

While the categories are presenting stiff competition, the eight socially voted categories may prove to be some of the most competitive, especially considering the extremely loyal and dedicated fan bases of some of the nominees.

Best Duo/Group of the Year, Hip-Hop Artist of the Year and Best New Pop Artist are sure to provide some tough competition as well, with strong and diverse options among the nominees in each category.

Tune into the 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards this Sunday, March 5 at 8 PM EST on TBS, TNT and truTV, and listen to this playlist including some of the nominees below.
