Hailee Steinfeld decided to have a little fun with her promo for her new single, “Most Girls.” The new song, which was just announced, will drop Friday. Ahead of the release, Hailee took to Instagram to give her fans and followers a chance to hear a piece of the track.
Hailee shared video from the studio with producer Ryan Tedder. In the clip, she asks Ryan if he thinks they should give fans “a little taste” of the track. It’s a very little taste as Ryan stops the song almost immediately after it starts.

While a lot of her followers laughed off the prank, others accused her of “bullying” and “abuse.” Most fans seemed to know they’re getting the single Friday anyway, but things only got worse when Hailee appeared to double down by posting a teaser video with no audio.
Eventually, Hailee didn’t leave her fans hanging. She posted an actual teaser of the song after getting her kicks and moving past her technical issues. The track sounds like a women’s empowerment anthem for most–if not all–girls.
