Taylor Swift’s go-to director Joseph Kahn has either completely lost his mind or just doesn’t care about his own well-being. The director recently sat down with the Los Angeles Times to promote his new film “Bodied” and while defending “Look What You Made Me Do” he made some accusations about Queen Bey herself.
“It’s not ‘Formation’ at all,” Joseph defended. “They try to say she’s wearing a black crop top and Beyonce wore a black crop top. But they don’t realize in 2015 in ‘Bad Blood,’ Taylor Swift was wearing a black crop top. I really do think, by the way, that Beyoncé copied ‘Bad Blood.’”
This isn’t the first time one of Joseph’s videos have been flagged for being a copycat. The director’s video for Taylor’s “Out of the Woods” sparked controversy amongst K-Pop fans for being a little too similar to Taeyeon’s visual for “I.”
Taylor hasn’t mentioned the comparisons between her and Beyoncé’s videos since her “LWYMMD” premiere. Joseph seems to be the first line of defense by doing all of the talking for the pop singer, much like after Kanye West’s “Famous” release.
Do you think Taylor’s director seriously think Beyoncé copied Taylor or is just a troll?
