Despite Tour Cancellations, Lady Gaga Finds Her Way To The Stage For Hurricane Relief Concert With Former Presidents

Despite Tour Cancellations, Lady Gaga Finds Her Way To The Stage For Hurricane Relief Concert With Former Presidents featureLady Gaga battled through her chronic pain for a special benefit concert in Texas on Saturday night. The singer delivered a very low-key piano performance after bailing on her European leg.

Gaga performed “A Million Reasons, “On The Edge” and “You and I” for the Hurricane Harvey benefit. It was a stripped down set with Gaga tickling chords out of a baby grand piano. She regularly interrupted her set to speak with the audience, even stopping in the middle of songs to talk about her feelings and ask the crowd to give more money.

She also got to meet some other VIPs: the five living former U.S. Presidents. In a group shot on her Instagram, Gaga stands behind the row of five ex-executives. Barack Obama, Jimmy Carter, George Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush all sat down for a photo op with the Mother Monster.

Gaga gave both Bushes a shoutout on stage when she revealed she had just talked to the younger George about attending the older George’s church on the day of the Super Bowl. That got a big cheer from the Texas crowd.
