Last month, Nick Carter was added to the growing laundry list of men in Hollywood accused of sexual misconduct. Although Nick denied any knowledge that his former interactions with Melissa Schuman were anything other than consensual, the former pop star took the opportunity to explain why it took her so long to come forward with her accusations.
On an episode of “The Dr. Oz Show,” Melissa got the opportunity to get thing off her chest as it pertains to the Backstreet Boys singer.
“That I forgive you,” she said. “That I don’t want anything from you. I wish you only the best. I don’t want your money. I didn’t do this to hurt you or your family. I did this for me, because I needed this healing. And I also came forward because I want to inspire other victims, other people who have been assaulted, to come forward and know that they have a voice.”
