Roseanne’s racist tweet to Barack Obama’s former aide Valerie Jarrett caused her rebooted series “Roseanne” to be cancelled on Tuesday and no one is happier than Hollywood. After news of ABC cancelling its number-one series hit, stars like Sarah Hyland were quick to tweet their gleeful reactions.
The “Modern Family” actress retweeted the news of her home network’s decision to cut ties with the show after Roseanne tried and failed to apologize. “Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show,” ABC stated on Tuesday afternoon.
Producer Shonda Rhimes also chimed in, showing no sympathy for the comedian. She also shared her sadness with the cast and crew who would now be out of a job.
