Halsey Reveals that her Next Album Will Be Less Serious, More Fun

Halsey Capital FM JIngle BallHalsey was probably the hottest artist on the charts to perform during the first evening of Capital FM’s Jingle Ball last night. Her live set included current top-5 hit “Without Me” and former No. 1 single “Closer,” as well as “Eastside.”

Speaking to Capital FM’s Roman Kemp backstage at the event, Halsey identified 2019 as a time of new music for her.  “I’m going to go make a new album,” she said. “I’ve started doing the pre process, collecting issues and lyrics already.”

“I’m getting together how I want the album to be and feel like,” she added. “My new single has made me approach music in a more fun way as I’ve always been so serious … I’ve just always taken it too seriously so it’s good to enjoy it again.”

Halsey’s next album will be her third studio album. She released her last album, Hopeless Fountain Kingdom, in 2017.
