Selena, 'Social Networking Can Be Scary'
[EDIT]

Selena Gomez HULU interview. How has Twitter & Facebook helped you? I think the social networks are very important. I think that being part of Facebook and MySpace and Twitter, all of those things, it really awesome. It’s a great way to stay in touch with your fans and let them know what you’re up to.
It’s a little scary sometimes because it’s very personal, so I try to use it for what it’s there for. I use it to remind my fans how much I appreciate them & how much I love and care about them, and what I’m doing and what I’m up to and see how they’re doing, and what the response is. It’s very quick and it’s very instant.
Do prefer acting or singing? I just don’t really trust myself. One day, I wake up and I’m so obsessed with my music and then the next day I wake up and I’m just so into my films and wanting to know what’s going on in that world and in my show. So I don’t really trust myself right now. But I think in the future once I get older and I want everything to slow down, I think I’m going to want to be in film.
Do you write your own songs? I do, but the awful part for me, the unfortunate part, would be having to do everything at once, so I can’t give the individual attention that I’d love to give. My studio time is extremely precious, so I can’t go in there and spend, like, two days writing one song, or three days writing one song. I have to go in there and record the song.
Taylor Swift's Crush Is Still Taylor Lautner
[EDIT]

Taylor Ladies Home Journal interview. What I Look For In A Guy: Someone who loves you for who you are. I like doing cute art projects with glitter & there have been guys who’ve made me feel like that’s weird. But then there are guys who find it endearing. Favorite Thanksgiving Tradition: Eating the marshmallows in candied yams. Hollywood Crush: Taylor Lautner. It’s always going to be Taylor.
How I’ll Celebrate My 21st Birthday: Maybe I’ll have a glass of wine, but nothing too hardcore for me. I’ve never had the burning desire to drink. I need to be in control of what I say, and if I drank, I’d stress out about saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. What I Will Do For Beauty: I really like eyeliner. One time I was waking up on a plane, it had been a long flight and I didn’t have eyeliner, so I used a Sharpie. I file that under my road warrior adventures.
Favorite Hobby: Antiquing. At the Tennessee State Fair Grounds, I found a hog carrier that I now use as a table for my record player. And I found a long animal trough that I use to store blankets. What I Took From My Parents’ House: Little teacups, a Geisha doll and a crystal ball that looks like a fortuneteller’s. Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve wanted that crystal ball, so my mom gave it to me and I let her keep one of my Grammys.
My Writing Process: I have an app on my iPhone that’s a voice recorder. I’ll be in the middle of a conversation and will literally walk away and record a bridge, a pre-chorus or half of a hook, then go right back to the conversation like nothing happened. Who I’d Most Like To Collaborate With: Jay-Z. I know our genres are completely different, but there could be something cool about that.
Taylor Swift Talks Taylor Lautner Breakup
[EDIT]

Taylor Swift New York Magazine interview: 'I think a lot of people expected me to write a song about [West]. But, for me, it was important to write a song to him. It doesn't really add anything good if I start victimizing myself and complaining about things. Because I'm proud of that performance at the VMAs last year,
..where my fans helped me get through it. And there was a lot that went down backstage that I will always be thankful for, and the fans in the subway know exactly what happened that night. I feel everything. I've never had this thick skin that can't be... It's not like I am bulletproof in any sense of the word.'
On 'The Story of Us' about Taylor Lautner: 'It was at an awards show, and there had been this falling-out between me and this guy. I think both of us had so much that we wanted to say, but we're sitting six seats away from each other, just fighting this silent war of 'I don't care that you're here,'
..I remember getting home and sitting at the kitchen table, and saying to my mom, 'It was like I was standing alone in a crowded room.' That's when my eyes glazed over, and I got distracted and walked away to write. 'My mom is used to me doing that.'
I think I've developed, as many people do, this sense of 'Don't say the wrong thing, or else people will point at you and laugh. In your personal life, that can lead to being guarded and not making what you feel clear in the moments that you're feeling it. For me, it's never really fearing saying what's on my mind in my music, but sometimes having a problem with it in life. Sometimes you lose the moment.'
